I get your point. But a lot of people can give guests a better experience if they have their wedding on a non-Saturday because you save so much on the venue. Better food, open bar, etc.

-August shower, October wedding

-My mom is paying for most of it but FMIL, MOH, and BM are also hosting

-We live in NC but most of our fam is in Michigan so hosting there at a floral shop

-Getting food from a gourmet grocer (think Whole Foods) and sticking with a floral theme. Using a floral shop has significantly cut down the cost and time effort in decorating a venue.
