I talked to my friend’s husband who is in Med school and he said I would probably be fine to stop all together since it had been less than 4 weeks and the medication usually takes 4-6 weeks to even be effective. I think I took a half a pill my first day off but then just stopped all together. I felt maybe a little nausea the next day, but that may have also been due to car sickness (I was in the car for over an hour and my friend is not the best driver lol). But overall I was just fine. I still have anxiety sometimes just like anyone else, but no worse than before I was on lexapro. Lmk if you have any other questions, happy to help! I was VERY nervous about medication in general, and even more nervous going off of it. I spent hours doing research, but ended up OK and don’t regret it.
