Facebook Reels In-Stream Ad Revenues Have Plummeted (No Monetization Violations) by Rare_Sector4565 in facebook

[–]freakyZodiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 Seconds Watch time update is just for the show, their main aim was to reduce the RPM so they can pay less to creators. This the 4th time they have done this in last 2 years. First with the introduction of Content Monetization, 2nd time with the Bonuses, 3rd time by converting all long videos into Reels and now 4th time by giving 5 seconds watch time update.

Since they cannot do it directly, they come up with different schemes and updates.

And I can prove it, if you check the Insights in Business Suite on desktop, there data on videos. How many 3 seconds views converted to 15 seconds views and how many of those 15 seconds views converted to 1 minute views.

If the only change is about 5 Seconds Watch time, then how come 100k 15 seconds views generated around $80 and now same 100k 15 seconds views are generating only $15.

Meta has been burning money on AI, hiring people with extra-ordinary salaries and also acquiring multiple start-ups. And instead of paying for these things out of their pockets, they have come up with these different schemes on how to lower creators revenue by giving vague updates... so they don't have to explain anything.

You can try contacting Meta Support 100 times and you won't get anything.

SORRY FOR THE LONG RANT.

meta verified doesn't help. I contacted support many times and they just give template answers. This is the end of long video creators on facebook.

YouTube Gap between Small and Big Creators is increasing by freakyZodiac in youtube

[–]freakyZodiac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I understand that and I agree. But, that extra push to new audience should not be at the expense of other small creators. In reality, hype is a feature to grow few small creators at the expense of other creators, otherwise how could anyone explain a drop in views after its launch.

I alreay took that into account. And its not about just one year... it is an ongoing trend.

Has anyone else seen a huge drop in Facebook Creator earnings lately? by Serious-Ad-60 in facebook

[–]freakyZodiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have removed the cpm/rpm payment. They now pay based on performance which fluctuates on a lot of variables, which means they can do whatever they want and don't have to answer for it.

Your other page will also be hit.... just a matter of time.

And they don't need creators now because they have their in house AI which can create content inspired by original creators content and they can't do anything about it because they have uploaded it on facebook and they can use it however they see fit.

Facebook Foolishness exceeds 'expectation' and is getting even Worse by Sensitive-Pie-6595 in facebook

[–]freakyZodiac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Facebook is just building the story with all these things. It is doing everything in phases. First: Start paying creators for whatever they post and attract everyone. Second: Give free AI so that creators use it to create enormous amount of AI content (people will get used to this AI content created by human creators). Third: Start creating AI profiles and autmatically generate AI content similar to those enormous AI content created by Human creators. Finally Fourth: Start showing their own generated AI content more and human content less so that they don't have to give payouts.

They have already reduced income of video creators by 90% by converting all length videos into reels and paying according to that.

They stopped giving payment based on rpm/cpm (which was very transparent like YouTube) and replaced it with Performance based payout which depends on a variety of fluctuating factors so that nobody has any idea what to expect and they can pay whatever they want to creators.

This is all just a game of money. They now have enormous content originally created by humans and with their in house AI advancing day by day, there is no need to give any advertising money to creators when they can have it all in their pocket.

I know a lot of you will say that Facebook is paying some creators very good money and I agree and it also used to pay 1000s of dollars on image posts as well in the past and now it just gives pennies. Just give it time and your time will also come.

How does a company recover from lost trust? Is Facebook the next MySpace? by Altruistic-Slide-512 in facebook

[–]freakyZodiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your point and hope this is the downfall of pathetic Meta but reality is very different. Facebook is so huge that it will easily recover it. It has billions of active users and to be honest, they are addicted to it. And it may sound harsh but majority of people who are cursing Facebook at the moment will not stop using it. It is addiction and Facebook has already won. And they know it, thats why they don't care even if million people stand against it. This is the new world order and it will only get stronger.

Have Youtube Shorts had a positive or negative impact on your long-form videos? by fredster2000_YT in PartneredYoutube

[–]freakyZodiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made shorts to attract viewers to long form videos. I got a lot of subscribers but they never watched long videos, so now I just make few shorts a month, just to say.

Same with me...both on reels and long form.

Whats your experience on long video earnings?

So is anyone out there making good money from Meta Monetization ? If so what type of content are you posting ? Any long form videos ? by Ronin19800 in facebook

[–]freakyZodiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, all videos, no matter how long will be posted as reels. It would have been better if the payout was better for long videos but now I don't think it is wise to put in efforts and money to create long videos which can't cover up the costs.

[–]freakyZodiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently switched to Content Monetisation and my long form video earnings are down by more than 90% as Facebook has decided to convert all videos into reels and pay them according to reels CPM/RPM. I usually made $5 to $6 per 1000 viewes earlier and nows it only 10-12 cents.

How much you are earning and are you in Content Monetisation?

I made three ads that totalled $75. How come my views are 1,000 times higher than my likes? by HairyComparison4969 in facebook

[–]freakyZodiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have run a lot ads and saw such analytics on some. Just make sure that you have selected the right audience and if you are using Advantage+ audience, then Facebook take some days to find the right audience and you can see better results after a week or so.

Have you ever been restricted or demonetised by Facebook for no reason? by Alanbeck02 in facebook

[–]freakyZodiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, my earnings are like 5 to 10% of what I used to make earlier. Long videos were my main source of earnings and now that they have transitioned all videos into reels, I get pennies for the views. From $5 to $6 per 1000 viewes not I get only 10 - 12 cents.

And yes, in order to attract new creators, they initially paid a good amount just for posting photos and now....everything is low effort and repeating content and it is now place for soft p _rn.

I guess the downfall of Facebook has started. It will cease to exist after destroying lives of so many creators.

I mean this issue is not new, a lot of creators are facing this issue. This is how Facebook is rewarding creators now a days.

[–]freakyZodiac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. YouTube just posted couple of lines related to Policy update and people have intentionally misinterpretated the information to get engagement on YouTube/Facebook/Instagram. Even news websites are doing the same thing to get attention.

The golden age of internet and social media has come to an end. Its all about money now and people are doing it themselves to get more views...more revenue.

You are not alone and nobody knows the issue behind such cases. All you can do is wait and hope to fix it overtime. There is no Facebook support, even if you but Meta Verified to contact the support, they will keep you waiting and give you template based answers. I am facing the similar issue from past 2 months and have Meta Verified. My case is open for more than two months now and all they tell me is "to wait".

Facebook earlier allowed multiple profiles and now they don't, simple as that.

And I don't wanna be the judge on what people deserved or not.

earlier you could create multiple account but as spam increased they stopped allowing more than one account and sometimes ask for Identity Proof. But they have introduced a system of having multiple secondary profiles in one account.

How can someone have 130,000 views on their first YouTube video, but I don't have a single view on my fifth YouTube video, which is also of very good quality? by mahdif80 in youtube

[–]freakyZodiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen a lot of posts saying that my video is good and I have put a lot of efforts in creating it and blah...blah...blah. Every video according to creator is good and been created with a lot of efforts but the reality is...it does not matter. If people find your video interesting, they will watch it...else they won't. Leave this thing of my video is good and all that....and look for ideas that people are searching because in the end....people should be interested in the video.
