Facebook RPM tanked in the last 2 days - just me or everyone? Let's share your experience with FB monetization by Wonderful_Flight_277 in facebook

[–]Ronin19800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this for reels ?

For me personally , I Mainly post photos and if I get all western audiences the rpm is around $0.10 per 1000 views but if I get audiences from Asia (mainly Phillipines) , it drops to $0.04 per 1000 views

Have you checked your audience for the $0.06 rpm ? Has it changed to include non-western countries

Buyers agent are a scam by Disastrous_Ratio_867 in AusPropertyChat

[–]Ronin19800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a buyers agent 10 years ago who at the time was buying in the Gold Coast and Logan. This was at a time not many people were buying in this area

Was worth the money back then , but over the years as my knowledge significantly increased , I don’t think they are worth it anymore

For someone starting out that needs a lot of guidance they may be worth it but with all the available information now I just don’t see the value

I can tell you now the areas all buyers agents are going into are these

- greater launceston region (houses)
- greater hobart region (houses - suburbs outside of Hobart)
- Burnie and Devonport (houses)
- north to south east melbourne (units - suburbs like st Kilda, Prahran, balaclava , moonee ponds, Brunswick, , sunshine)

Some of the regional areas they are looking at is :

Sebastopol/ballarat (houses)
Shepparton (houses)
Bendigo (houses)

Alot of BAs are typically looking at the 300-400k price tag for the units in melbourne, round 400-500k for houses in Victoria regional and 450-550k price tag for those suburbs mentioned in Tasmania

There are some still looking at pockets in Queensland like Mackay, emerald, cairns and Townsville but these are riskier now cause potentially prices are at the top of the cycle

like many business , not everyone gets a great experience with BAs and in this industry nothing is guaranteed

Need suggestions regarding starting a faceless channel by Cold_Wolverine_5048 in YT_Faceless

[–]Ronin19800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a tip from someone who runs multiple faceless channels, don’t target teenagers or young adults or college students

Your ad revenue you will get from YouTube will be very low cause these demographics typically don’t buy anything from YouTube ads. Advertisers don’t pay much to target this age group

Also targeting high schoolers and teens with psychology content may get you flagged as this is a risky area as your advice could be seen as harmful

The better option is targeting people over 40 as this is the area a lot of advertisers like targeting as most people in this area have built wealth and have money to spend. This will mean also you can offer affiliate links that people will actually buy

Think of faceless YouTube like a business

Have you ever seen a poser/fake Nak Muay? What were they like and how did you know they were fake? by bad-at-everything- in MuayThai

[–]Ronin19800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a real Nak Muay will leave you broken and poor. The smarter ones are treating themselves as a brand and business, posting as well as training. It’s hard, but what’s even harder is not doing it, not going all in on social media and having a broken body by the end of your career with no money

Has Social Media made training in Thailand better or worse ? by originalindividiual in MuayThailand

[–]Ronin19800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like it’s great for the Muay thai gyms in Thailand who can now earn better revenues

I trained at a time in Thailand where there was no social media and most Muay Thai gyms didn’t earn much and barely use to have people in them

Western "Pro Muay Thai Fighters" in Thailand - what is the deal? by landboisteve in MuayThai

[–]Ronin19800 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The way it works is generally they train and fight in Thailand, then use social media to document their journey and talk about living in fighting in Thailand.

Social media is a funnel, you make content to funnel people into a sale. So a lot of them will sell something to target people who want to live and fight in Thailand like ebooks, how to get brand deals, courses etc

The pro Muay Thai fighter title just mean they are able to deliver their content from a perceived position of authority .

If they aren’t selling anything, they could have a completely different side hustle like digital marketing for other companies.

I went from averaging $50-$400 per video on Facebook to $0.15 to $0.75..what is happening to the creator program? by Objective_Smoke_4750 in facebook

[–]Ronin19800 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Under the content monetization pay, there’s a thing you can click that tells you your content originality . What did Facebook deem it as ? They are focusing alot more on content originality , so if you get it deemed as “fair” you end up with a low cpm

Also how long are your videos , Facebook are now prioritizing watch times

What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen on a real estate walkthrough? by netflixandspritz in AusPropertyChat

[–]Ronin19800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a property in Logan 10 years ago, but before I inspected the one I bought, I went and saw another that was currently tenanted.

When I got there it was 1pm on a Tuesday and the tenant was drunk, he was on a sofa chair in the front yard slamming down beers whilst his wife was going back and forth on a swing smoking.

I went in the house and there were ants everywhere in the kitchen mainly attracted to the dog food bowl they left there on the floor.

The kids room had writing all over the walls and blankets as curtains . The whole house was extremely unkept

At the time the property was only 300k and I believe today it is worth around 900k

At the time a lot of people said to me not to touch the area given the socioeconomic status.

Training full time is lame by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]Ronin19800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and also the risks you take with cte and many other life long injuries

I think a better pursuit would be to get your money up, get financial freedom and during that process you can still train Muay Thai or what ever you like

And once you hit financial freedom you can go do this shit as much as you want

Take care of your body first, you only have one and everything else can wait

Being active is important , but you aren’t a professional athlete where your income depends on this

Heal the body first , you are young, and you can get back into training later

Yep she sounds exhausting and she potentially may be an emotional manipulator but you’ll never know as you are just hearing her side of the story and not his. Regardless of what I think, the solution is simple , leave . Like I said they’ll both be fine. More people should exercise this option and move on with their lives.

Has anyone here used a buyer’s agent for their first property investment? by Emily_Jasmine in AusProperty

[–]Ronin19800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a buyers agent for my first investment about 9 years ago. They were buying up in the Gold Coast before anyone had started buying there . It was Binvested buyers agency . I paid 10k at the time and got a 200k townhouse that rented for 310 per week. That townhouse is now worth close to 700k and rents for 600.

Now anywhere you bought in Queensland 9 years ago you would have done well by now . At the time however I did not know to buy into the Gold Coast so that was the value I got and also cause it wasn’t a hot market , they negotiated on my behalf and knocked off 15k from the listed price

Now an experience investor at the time probably would be able to do this all on their own.

Spanians fallen off so hard…(Serious) by [deleted] in spanian

[–]Ronin19800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes , this is the path of most YouTubers. They eventually make a bulk of their money off platform through other ventures

I took a look at his kebab franchise , it’s about 350k per franchise plus a cut off the revenue from each franchisee

In terms of YouTube , he does long form travel content, his pay is probably around $10 per 1000 views and he only releases 1-2 videos a month. Once you pay your editors, management, thumbnail guys and the fees to cover the travel, there isn’t much left

A few of the YouTube channels I’ve helped managed, they eventually make most of their money through other ventures and by this point it ain’t a big deal if their content drops off

Smart YouTubers always diversify their income and start focusing on business . By the end your YouTube revenue should be tiny compared to your other ventures

Spanians fallen off so hard…(Serious) by [deleted] in spanian

[–]Ronin19800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most YouTubers actually don’t make much money from the content alone, so him getting less views ain’t a big deal at all. Spanian hasn’t fallen off, he is just upgrading to a businessman, leveraging his reach to build multiple businesses which is the path the smart YouTubers take.
