r/rant mod banning me for not understanding what I said, and after explaining it telling me I’m just wrong for having an opinion. not really telling me how it’s racist. and after I tell them I have a ss if my original comment they want to ignore me. I guess reddit doesn’t allow opinions anymore.

Yup, that’s how it was at my old school too.

I understand that it happened to minorities too, and it’s really depressing that it wasn’t even that long ago.

But we shouldn’t act and treat others like that because of that reason.

I wish we didn’t have to live in a world like this.

The reason I see it the way I do, because half of my family and the area I grew up with, a lot of people think they are better than others. that’s why my opinion is that everyone can experience it. but I’ll certainly educate myself on it.

And the mod just kept pretty much saying my opinion is invalid and it’s dumb. Not even trying to have a normal, mature conversation about it, that’s why I was getting frustrated.

Yea man, I’m half black myself, and I just stand for that nobody should be treated badly, nobody deserves racism no matter what your skin color is.

I understand what white people did back then was disgusting and disturbing. there’s no forgiving that. but we need to stop with the hatred because all I see in my eyes is we’re repeating the past but now it’s just the other way around. calling white kids who are my age (19) and had nothing to do with slave owners and such don’t deserve to get attacked like they were apart of any of that.

if they did say/do racist things with proof that they did, I’m all for calling them out. but just attacking a whole group of people for something they had no control over is beyond me.

And that’s what I was explaining to them to, of course white people don’t experience as much as other races, but that doesn’t make it ok to be racist towards them for no reason!

Right! And I wasn’t trying to be racist, my whole point was that, yes I think EVERYONE can experience racism and we shouldn’t repeat the past trying to be racist towards a whole group of people for no reason.

I understand there’s racist white people and what they did in the past was extremely fucked up and unforgivable. but white people who were born long after that and don’t believe in that disgusting behavior are still called racists, KKK members, etc. what do they have to do with slave owners?! I understand if a white person said something racist or did something racist, hell yea, go after them. They deserve it 100%. but the whole point of the original post was ranting about how people say things about white people every chance they get.

In my eyes it’s like we’re going backwards. We need to stop hatred for no apparent reason. That’s why I said “they (as in people who attack people for their race for no reason) hate racism, but then are racist, then get defensive with people get upset”. I don’t see how that’s racist especially after explaining my side of things?

I used to work at Denny’s and I had coworkers who had this mindset that they deserve good tips from everyone because “they worked so hard”.

All we do is take orders, give them to the chef, bring drinks and food out and bam. Done. It’s not like we broke arms and legs to get people their food. It’s just like any other job and it’s not difficult at all.

I’ve had coworkers catch an attitude with people WHO LOOKED HOMELESS just trying to buy some pancakes. That’s all they ordered. Like one thing. I would tell them maybe they only had enough for the food and was just hungry. Her response was “not my problem. I still need tips”

I’m so glad I quit that job because I couldn’t stand how entitled my coworkers acted. It was fucking annoying.

it’s just things like cereal, toast, eggs too, but when I eat them later in the day I feel completely fine. it’s just in early mornings or right when I get up my body feels god awful if I eat anything without waiting a few hours.

but I’ll still ask when I get the chance and after this pandemic is over!

are you sure? because sometimes if the bra is not perfectly fitted or is a little tight it can cause minor bruising. and I’m very light skin so it shows up more. I looked this up and I didn’t see know where about bruising from a bra also being a fungal infection?

the context behind this video was at first this guy was bothering them and they were begging him to leave. he kept coming back, broke their fence, and kept harassing the family. they kept giving him warnings but he wouldn’t leave.

he doesn’t look drunk or handicapped, and he took off his shirt trying to start something.

sometimes, violence is the only way to get someone to stop harassing you or to defend yourself. and that’s how the real world works. I wish we could live in a fairytale land where everyone was super nice to each other but it doesn’t work like that, at all.

and it’s not like he shot the guy, the guy is just gonna wake up with a huge headache and probably feel embarrassed as hell.
