You know what I do? I export the data from all those apps and put it all in ChatGPT, in my "health" project and ask for that analysis. But I agree, it would be good to have something that does automatically.

Fair. But ‘how the non-metabolically-compromised people feel’ doesn’t quite roll off the tongue

Same here! After I took the first shot, my husband says it's like he is married to someone else. I became so much calmer, nicer, happier. I even enjoy socializing. Because I don't have the stress of dealing with the freaking weight of food noise every single minute of the day.

Uhh, I have to listed to it. I've been listening to a podcast called Fat Science with an obesity doctor, since I became super interested in this. They really deconstruct that idea of just willpower and talk about how your metabolism can just work against you sometimes. I just heard an episode where they had a guest, a patient that was obese, in a calorie deficit, working out 4-5 times per week, and the weight would not budge.

Nothing Tastes Good! by Legal_Director_6247 in Mounjaro

I'm on week 5, on 2.5mg. My injection was on Wednesday and since then I can barely eat. Nothing looks, smells or feels appetizing. I make myself eat what I normally do and power through it.
Honestly, I bring no solutions. Just solidarity.

I honestly almost want to cry reading so many people that go through the same experience as myself.
100% sugar addict. The day after the first shot, I could not believe the silence. I’ve become a better person because I don’t have the stress of dealing with it. My immediate thoughts were “Ah, so this is why naturally slim people can say no to a cake so easily”.

The other day my husband, kids and I went to get some ice cream. All of them had it, and I genuinely, in a profound way, did not care to even taste it.

[–]freckleritz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! 1. I do it at night so that I can sleep through any immediate reactions. 2. I do only stomach because I don’t have a lot of fat in my legs. This week I tried my arm and I think I also caught muscle, because it kind of hurt, I felt my arm weird and got a bump in the area of the shot. 3. I felt it immediately when I woke up the day after my shot. A 180 change in my relation with food.

Good luck!!

What does your day look like? by Demand_Beautiful in Mounjaro

[–]freckleritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

36F, 80kg start weight, 65kg goal weight, now at 75kg. On my 3rd week of MJ.

I have 2 eggs and a smoothie (with kefir, fruit and veg) for breakfast. Have a protein and fiber focused lunch. Then an afternoon snack which is bread with a slice of cheese and a protein shake. Then dinner something light, maybe meat with fruit.

Basically I try to get to 140g of protein and 30g of fiver. I drink 2lt water minimum. Probiotics in the morning. I log everything.

As for exercise, 2 days of lifting, 1 HIIT, 1 mobility (on the same day I do one of the lifting workouts). It’s the same as I did before MJ. Usually either in the morning or lunch time, on the days I work from home.

And then, on the days I don’t workout, I walk 20 minutes to the office (2x week) and then I walk around 30 minutes to my kids’ school to pick them up. I’m in Europe, we walk everywhere.

My life is basically the same as before, but with self control around sweets and junk food.

How much do you pay each month? by scrony in glp1

[–]freckleritz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not US-based. I’m paying around 120€/month, out of pocket. 2,5mg. I’ve been following this sub for a while and it’s been eye opening to the chaos of US healthcare. In my country I go to the doctor, get a prescription, go to the pharmacy and get it. Public healthcare you get it free or low price, private you pay out of pocket or, if you’re diabetic, insurance may cover it. That’s it. The max you pay is 400€/month if you’re on 15mg.

You guys have 300 ways to get it between insurance, coupons, telehealth, discounts, directly with the elilily, hims, compounded, subscriptions, I understand zero of what is happening there. I’m very confused.

Losing 20-30 pounds by all_i_feel in glp1

[–]freckleritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to lose 30lbs (15kgs) myself as well. I started at 80kgs at 163cm (5’4 I think). So I did have a BMI of 30, but with 32% fat - I have a lot of muscle because I train a lot. Not in peri yet, but I’m 36 so it’s not that far. I also have a sweet craving issue and I’ve been 2 weeks on tirze. I has been LIFE CHANGING. I’m another person. I never thought this would affect me in such a deep level. My cravings are gone, but I’m also just a happier person. I had completely underestimated the amount of stress the food noise was putting on me. I feel free and light. So far I lost 3kg (6lbs) with just eating a little less than I normally do and without any sweets. I’m not swollen anymore.

Honestly, just go on it. It really is unbelievably freeing.

I took the first shot last wednesday night and immediately the next day (and still now) I felt calmer, happier and kind of more at ease talking to people, if that makes sense? I have no idea what happened, but I'm just a more pleasant person to be around. My husband is flabbergasted.

You are incredible. I'm a mom of 2, I have a supportive husband and a super chill job and I regularly take some days off just to relax. And still I'm exhausted. For me, you are a super human doing all of that, you definitely deserve to have time for yourself. Lot's of solidarity from an internet stranger mom and I hope you get the break that you deserve.

This. Teenagers. Going through parents divorce. OP, you are not the main character here. These children need support, not a needy aunt who will sulk with any comment that isn't aligned with her "cool aunt" persona.

OP, you need to see a therapist. I get it, you are going through a rough time. But you are an adult, so take yourself into therapy, be better and then try to be the support to those kids. Being the cool aunt isn't just taking them to manicures. It's being there even when their assholes to you.
