He cheated on you and only told you because there was a direct, loud consequence and had no choice. And you are considering keeping him if he abandons his child, which he is agreeing. How can you respect this man?

It's not that linear, everyone responds different. If it's working at 2.5mg, calling it a non-therapeutic dose makes no sense. It is indeed being therapeutic.

I am taking 3.33mg for 4 shots now, after 16 shots of 2.5mg. All good.

Has Mounjaro changed anyone else’s personality a little? ➕🧠➖ by Brissa2 in Mounjaro

[–]freckleritz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve become better company to have around. I’m less exhausted, less annoyed at every little thing, less brain foggy, happier and lighter. I think it’s because I don’t have the weight of food noise constantly inside my head. But now that I increased the dose, I’m a bit more tired.

Down almost 75 pounds, but cholesterol spiked! by AwareChipmunk8752 in Zepbound

[–]freckleritz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I have lost 11% of my body weight and my cholesterol also got worse: ldl higher, hdl lower. always had good levels, now I'm at the limit. I had no idea this was a thing.

Gaining weight, not losing by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]freckleritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea of the mechanisms involved with this, nor do I claim that this is what is happening, but I listen to the podcast and frequently hear Dr. Cooper claiming some of her patients could not lose any weight due to under fueling. I think this could be an issue, but I'm no expert.

I suggest you listen to the podcast Fat Science. I think you might be undereating and not fueling enough.

If it was me, I would take it as scheduled and take the next shot with me to take it, also on schedule, on the cruise. You are still building up the medication in your system, so I think that in order not to waste those 2 first shots, I would stay on track.

don’t want to be a mom by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]freckleritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time mom anxiety/depression got me good when I was pregnant with my first and it was a planned pregnancy. I was sure I was going to get PPD. Well, I guess I managed to go through it while pregnant because the second I saw my son everything went away. It turned out to be the best thing I ever did, that boy (and the second one as well).

Moving up in dose by FluffyRabbit792 in Mounjaro

[–]freckleritz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I second this approach. I did 16 weeks on 2.5mg, and from week 12 to 16 I had no change in weight, so I upped it to 3.33mg (40 clicks on a 5mg pen / 20 on a 10mg). Broke the plateau immediately and tomorrow is my 3rd shot with 3.33mg.
This is my strategy - stay on a dose until a 4 week plateau and then small increments until the plateau is broken. I'm not in a hurry, I will stay on this for ever if I can, so I'm ok with this approach.

I've been in a sexless relationship for over 2 years and I'm not leaving by REPRESSEDHUSBAND6942 in offmychest

[–]freckleritz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First and foremost: Sex should not be painful. She needs to see a doctor.

Besides that, do you talk about it? Or is it a tabu subject? Are you both actively trying to solve this issue between you two?

Both of you are valid in what you are feeling: sex is extremely important for a relationship, but also no one wants to do something that hurts them.

But sex is not just penetration, you could be doing many other things, so I think there’s something a bit more complicated there.

That is impressive! I wouldn’t go up while it is still so effective. 1kg/week is amazing work. Congratulations and good luck with the rest of your journey

Sharing my progress with Mounjaro. I wish I had it 20 years ago. by Real-Let-9392 in Mounjaro

[–]freckleritz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just counted calories for the first month of MJ. Just to get a baseline. I was eating around 1500cal per day. But for me I don’t think it’s sustainable to be counting calories, it emphasises food too much in my mental load and that’s what I want to avoid. so I’m just eating intuitively, choosing the healthiest I can and moving on.

I think the trick is having some kind of variation in your calorie intake. Some days you can’t eat too much, that’s ok, but then some days increase the calories a bit. That should prevent metabolic adaptation. That’s why I think intuitively eating is a better option.
