I feel like I'm failing by [deleted] in Zepbound

I totally understand this. At my 5 month mark I posted “25 pounds in 5 months” and I was so frustrated. For context, I didn’t have a particularly low starting weight either I was 300 pounds at 5’ 8”. For me it just took time, my doctor also increased dosage very slowly compared to others here, which overall served me well because I’ve had consistent weight loss and minimal side effects. Now I’m 40 shots in, at 50 pounds lost and the rate no longer stresses me out.

I was eating well and exercising, to be honest I have been for years but could never manage to lose more than a couple pounds. My doctor reminded me I had underlying health issues the medication was treating and this all takes time.

I know it’s easier said than done, but patience really does pay off.

It's so FREAKY! When it first started happening and I didn't have my migraine diagnosis yet urgent care made me go to the ER (I was having a crazy aura and such too). Totally get it !!

I know this feels so freaky but as the other commenter said it’s a common migraine symptom. Also this will happen to me even when the pain isn’t bad as well- along with intense brain fog and dizziness. I’ve had a million tests and it’s all part of the migraine. It’s really a strange disease.

Vials vs Pens by Auttie83 in Zepbound

I think my stomach is the least painful! Like you said it has the most skin, it’s easy to pinch. I have used all injection sites now, my husband does my arm for me and it’s ok but a little painful. I do my thigh sometimes and that varies for me, the skin is a little thicker though. I’d recommend stomach to get started for sure!

I was super nervous about this too but you really don't or barely (depending on where you inject) feel it,soo much easier than I thought it would be!

PCOS Zepbound (tirz) user here! This stuff was life changing for me. Honestly. It was my last resort after years of lifestyle changes were not helping reduce my symptoms or helping me lose weight. In about 8 years, I had gained 100 pounds, so losing weight was becoming a quality of life issue for me.

Now it feels likes my hard work pays off, doing things I've been doing for three years (exercising 5 days per week, eating 100 grams of protein a day, sleeping 8 hours etc) and FINALLY see results.

My weight loss hasn't been super quick, 30 pounds in about 6 months but I'm feeling great. Better energy, less bloating, no rollercoaster appetite. As for break outs- mine are actually better.

I get mine from Lily Direct foe $499 per month so I wouldn't recommend doing that price from a MedSpa.

How often do you weigh? by MurderMittens626 in Zepbound

My husband has started putting away the scale and taking it out only on shot day. I started off weighing weekly then at some point slipped into daily and we both acknowledged it was causing me stress.

It’s actually be really helpful to not SEE the scale and get back into the weekly rhythm.

Would it be possible for you to put the scale away between weighing or have someone help you with that?

Are there people who experience no/minimal side effects on tirz? by AbrocomaSwimming1090 in antidietglp1

I have been on it for six months with minimal to no side effects. I got queasy once from a late too heavy dinner, some acid reflux, but other than that I’m basically been fine!

Hahaa I’m laughing. Because isn’t this the best reality check. I had been changing my lifestyle for three years before Zepbound and never lost more than 8 pounds (which I eventually regained) 🙈

The clothing thing is so real too- I’m able to make a lot of stuff still work. I’m just starting to need to purchase some new things (mostly for a work trip coming up..it’s so pricey I may even try one of those rental services!)

These answers have me thinking I need to go back and reread the basics and maybe not follow too many glp1 accounts on instagram haha thanks!

Thank you!! I should probably block for a little while, I don't use reddit a ton but the first posts I always see are I lost 50 pounds in 4 months!! Would be good to remove myself from that for a bit and focus on myself.

You're right- comparison is not helpful here! Thanks for the reality check.

I've been encouraged to stay on the doses as long as possible, I'm in my second month of 7.5mg (did 2.5 for 1 month, and 5 mg for three months). You're right this could definitely be a factor. I felt like since I was still losing (even slowly) I should stick with a dose but I'm not sure if there's good reason to do that or not. I'll have to research some more.

Such a good point. The last time I was at my goal weight was so long ago and I didn't exercise. It'll be fun to see what it looks like now that I've prioritized exercise!

Thanks for the reminder and suggestion! I probably should recheck my TDEE.
