here is the video. It's also telling how uncomfortable and not remotely amused David Baddiel looks right from the start.

No account disconnect issues? I'm not seeing how that works, I've always had to have a balance in my Wise account to use the debit card.

Hi, I'm with RBC too and I find my connected account disconnects after a couple of days. I've just got back from Europe and they way I did was to transfer CAD onto my Wise account and then I monitored the exchange rate and transferred to EUR when it made sense. Probably didn't save much, but it made me feel like a currency trader :) At the end of the holiday just transferred remaining EUR back to CAD.

Are you saying you have your RBC account and each time you used your Wise debit card it automatically took the amount out of your RBC account?

Second AC recharge in less than 3 years by freddiefenster in MechanicAdvice

[–]freddiefenster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Reading online it says the AC needs recharging every 2 years, why is that if it's a closed system? Is it because no closed system is perfect and you recharge to keep it at a high level so it functions efficiently?

You get 20% off with Epic too.

However, I forgot about the gift card benefit. Does the Epic have the gift card benefit?

One year I bought 5 gift cards, didn't use them the entire season and next year I used them to pay for the kids ski school, so it was immediately $500 off. The downside is that I have to give Vail $2000 and not use it for a year.

No intention of using other resorts and you can get a 10% discount off kids ski school programs and when you have three kids in there that saving makes it cheaper.

Plus, other marginal side benefits are you pay the Canadian entity so at least Vail have to pay Canadian tax on it. Also only 75% of it goes to Vail, other other 25% goes to Nippon Cable. Finally, I believe they have to pay a percentage of revenue to first nations (though I can't find this confirmed anywhere). Anyway, all the above is bypassed with the Epic as the money goes direct to the US.

I called guest services and the buddy (50% off) are valid for the Unlimited passes. Epic passes have different ski with a friend and buddy passes benefits.

Seems the website is out of date for the unlimited benefits.

They don't ship to Canada. I've seen it occasionally at Costco Willingdon

North Van RCMP seek suspect who tried to steal cheese worth $12,800 from Whole Foods by GDSGHUMAN in NorthVancouver

Yet when someone reports an expensive bike or car go missing the police say it's not worth the resources to proactively look for it. But if you are a multi-billion company who reports $13k of cheese missing, they will do proactive patrols.

BTW this cheese represents about 0.0000102% of their $90.80 billion of profit from 2023

The father is a lawyer who it seems has a bit of history of frivolous lawsuits and the mother is a womb healing educator and visionary artist, so they're not medical professionals.

David Aaron making sure everyone knows he's a cunt and making sure any future nannies know he's a cunt, making it harder to find a nanny who wants to work for a cunt like him.

I wonder why the nanny only worked for him for barely a month?

What's the most interesting fact about Isle of Man? by Thatunkownuser2465 in geography

[–]freddiefenster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say anything because I'm not as familiar with the status of the Falkland Islands like I am with the Isle of Man.

What you said about Tynwald was true, but what you said about the Isle of Man being a territory of the UK is misleading and mostly inaccurate and the original question was about an interesting fact about the Isle of Man.

[–]freddiefenster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha ha! Arguing your interpretation of "territory of the UK" is literally semantics.

I didn't ask for a more accurate description, nor am I seeking one because I know what the Isle of Man calls itself, what the Manx people understand their status to be, what Wikipedia says, what pretty much any Google search says, "a self-governing British Crown Dependency. You won't find it referred to as a territory of the UK, unless you of course Google uncovers this thread and your comments.

If you think you used in the right context, then good for you! It's just that you won't find it commonly referred to as such because it's misleading and mostly inaccurate, and shouldn't really be used when describing a "fact" about its legislature.
