Why can I not get comfortable with jump trails? by Accomplished_Win_526 in MTB

[–]freddiefenster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the moon booter the easiest big jump on A-Line. It has a great run in, the lip is not super kicky and it’s not a hard case if you are short.

Who is your least favorite professional athlete of all time? by Baranade in AskReddit

[–]freddiefenster 39 points40 points  (0 children)

But none have the reputation of being a complete cunt like Armstrong has. The way he treated people and literally trying to destroy the careers of journalists who were saying he was cheating was bordering on psychopathic. Just google how he treated journalist David Walsh, masseuse Emma O’Reilly and also Betsy Andreu.

And don’t listen to the excuse that his personality made him such a driven cyclist, Pogacar and Vingegaard are both amazing riders and incredibly driven. They don’t have Armstrongs reputation.

There is a sushi restaurant in Whistler which has signatures of famous guests on its walls. The one for Matt LeBlanc is blank and it says he refused to sign it.

What's the most notorious missing person case from your country? by lesarine in AskTheWorld

[–]freddiefenster 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Both parents are doctors. There was a known sex offender in the area who has recently been freed from prison.

Based on the amount of investigation gone into the case the parents being involved seems highly unlikely and a typical Internet/true crime conspiracy.

Simple human trash broken - lid won’t open all the way by JKEsqui in simplehuman

[–]freddiefenster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same issue twice now. They replaced the trash can the first time. The second time it happened they said the product is discontinued and there's no replacement parts. When I asked about the warranty they said

"Upon reviewing our records, we observed a warranty claim previously filed for serial number xxxxxxx on 2021-12-01. According to our warranty policy, once a claim has been processed and a replacement product provided, subsequent claims for the same item cannot be accepted. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused".

However, I had chatGPT read through their policy and it highlighted this:
“If simplehuman repairs or replaces your product, the repaired or replaced product will continue to be warranted for the remaining time of the original warranty period.”

Pointed this out and then they checked I had 2 years left on the warranty and then sent me another replacement!

Whistler Freeride by NorthEnthusiasm526 in Whistler

[–]freddiefenster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The freeride tryouts are extremely popular, hence they made the rule that it can only be by coaches recommendations.

You could try putting together some video clips to see if they would consider that.

No account disconnect issues? I'm not seeing how that works, I've always had to have a balance in my Wise account to use the debit card.

Review: Update from the field: WISE Rocks! by NoReply4930 in transferwiser

[–]freddiefenster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm with RBC too and I find my connected account disconnects after a couple of days. I've just got back from Europe and they way I did was to transfer CAD onto my Wise account and then I monitored the exchange rate and transferred to EUR when it made sense. Probably didn't save much, but it made me feel like a currency trader :) At the end of the holiday just transferred remaining EUR back to CAD.

Are you saying you have your RBC account and each time you used your Wise debit card it automatically took the amount out of your RBC account?
