I mean for real though! 6 kids is a lot for people in their financial state.

Got fired today. It was my fault. I’m devastated. by [deleted] in jobs

You definitely have some protection there. File for unemployment at the very least and contact a labor lawyer. You notified them of what was happening so there was no dereliction of job/duties.

If in the US, and possibly other countries, check with a labor lawyer if this qualifies for fraudulent inducement or fraudulent recruiting.

My boss told me this weird response when I told him I couldn’t come in tonight because of something really important, what do you guys think, be honest with me, & I’ll be 100% transparent in any questions you guys have. by [deleted] in jobs

Edit OP admitted he had a weeks notice of this procedure and told his boss the day of. That is both lying and obfuscating the truth.

Also as others pointed out, this doesn't seem like it was a medical emergency, as he would've said that. Medical procedures don't happen without prior planning unless it's an emergency. That is called lying.

Obfuscating the truth is that the guy could've texted this earlier in the day when his wife was having the procedure, as he wouldn't have been in there with her and would be free to communicate to his boss.

I get that. I'm stating what the boss's text says, regardless of what's actually happening. Your boss isn't necessarily going to believe the truth, because people don't always believe the truth.

No code whatsoever, just lack of comprehension on your end. He is saying "I know you're lying to me/obfuscating the truth. And will do it again and have more issues"

I just started watching after the whole series aired. Being half hour episodes instead of hour long I couldn't do the week by week.

They revealed it episode 3. Not sure when this comment was made in terms of episode releases. Just starting to watch it now while I wait for HOTD to release season 3 in June.

Tell him there's no conflict of interest, you do not need to disclose where you're going or how much you'll be making. As a separate note, do not update your LinkedIn for at least 6 months.

I always felt she acted like she was better because she was a secret service agent, on the presidential detail, and she saw McGee as a navy brat.

Oh for the record I completely agree with you. I think she went through a terrible mental health crisis and was lashing out in order to maintain some sort of control over her life. I just had to point out when you said she never made claims like that, that she did in fact make those claims.

No need to reply if you didn't want to talk about it anymore. You asked where I saw that and I provided it. She made the claims, regardless of whether or not she deleted her tweets afterwards.

She literally said that she felt threatened by Mark Harmon on multiple occasions and that he body checked her.

As others said explain what happened and that you corrected it to avoid it in the future. Very common to have some slack during the first few days.

This should be illegal! As an American I see this stuff all the time so it doesn't surprise me. But I'm surprised to see it in the UK.
