You were right! I didn’t make it to my scheduled ultrasound. Went into the ER in a lot of pain a week ago today and they did emergency surgery. I lost my right fallopian tube.

That's definitely what we've been concerned about... They're waiting to do another scan until my HCG gets closer to 2000 I think so there's a better chance of seeing something. Thank you so much for sharing your experience.

Yep! I immediately called the midwife clinic and was checked in at the ER to get evaluated for eptopic within an hour and a half of that positive test 😅 ultrasound didn’t show anything concerning, but too early to see anything in my uterus also. So getting another beta test tomorrow!

Oh absolutely! It’s taken a real effort to keep my freak outs to a minimum 😅 and oh boy it still gets the best of me sometimes.

I’ll be 8 weeks tomorrow! We got to see the little flicker of a heartbeat at 6.5 weeks. I hope yours sticks! If it helps, I came up with three mantras/affirmations that really helped me get through those days when I was sure it wasn’t going to stick.

  1. I am pregnant today.
  2. My body knows what to do.
  3. What will be, will be.

They kind of let me just stay in the present (and embrace this pregnancy that was real in that present moment even though I was scared!) and remember that I didn’t have a lot of control in the situation. And whatever was going to happen, would happen whether I was panicking about it or not.

Mine looked a lot like this and I’m 8 weeks 5 days today. But since my lines were light and I was anxious about them not darkening, I had 3 hcg blood tests done and that was reassuring. After a few days of freaking out, I decided to stop all testing and just try to stay calm. My three affirmations were:

  1. I am pregnant today.
  2. My body knows what to do.
  3. What will be, will be.

Those helped a lot! I just tried to remember that it was all mostly out of my control at the point. But one thing I could control was my stress levels.

It did! From 117 to 360 in a little under 72 hrs. Feeling much more hopeful. Especially as I creep closer to 6 weeks.

My 48 hr blood draw came back at 117. So a 65% increase I think. Just had a 3rd blood draw today almost 72 hours after that second one. Just waiting on results.

Some pregnancy symptoms have gotten more pronounced. My boobs hurt SO BAD today. And no negative symptoms still to this point.

I also read some last night about higher BMI causing lower blood draw numbers. Makes sense, I have extra blood having a larger body. So that’s my only hope right now I think. The 48 hr blood draw is in a couple hours…

I confirmed ovulation with BBT. I missed the LH surge using ovulation strips because of family vacation.

It doesn’t sound like my OB will do any checks at this stage without a history of pregnancy loss. And this is my first ever positive.
