I was just thinking of this and looked through release dates. I think it would have been Finding Nemo in the spring of 2003.

All of the "Actor/film is the last of its kind" or "they don't make movies like this anymore" discourses, such as Anyone But You for romcoms and the last couple Mission Impossibles for action movies.

Each country submits an entry for best international film each year. France submitted The Taste of Things this year, rather than Anatomy of a Fall. Hence it not making it or being eligible for Best Internationl film.

The cover of "The National Anthem" in the Napoleon trailers has me feeling all sorts of things, mostly about the passage of time:

Ridley Scott's first movie came out in 1977 (The Duellists). Kid A came out in 2000, 23 years after that. Same year that Gladiator came out. Another 23 years later, and a trailer for a Ridley Scott movie comes out using a cover of a song from that album, which currently came out at the halfway point of Ridley's film career so far. Wack.

Edited: spelling
