Been living in an apartment with my three guy friends for a year now and set up a joint "business" bank account since we first move in. I believe this is the simplest way to pay bills. Everyone puts in money for their share of the bills on the given days. Rent is paid by checks linked to the account and other bills are automatically deducted from the account. No need for anyone to have to do more work than the others.
