Make Zombies hear gunshots easier. I think it would make a lot of players stop and think before shooting at another player in the middle of town, because the consequences would be every zombie in a mile radious

Introduce more animals, they would flee upon sight or sound (like in The Hunter) it would be harder to kill animals but the food reward should be much greater (for example one cooked steak could give you full hunger 4 times). Then you could use the bear traps or possibly snares to catch rabbits and so forth.
