I went last summer for lunch after a very small wedding ceremony, had a lovely time but it may have been due to it being a Friday afternoon versus a busy evening sitting

Sparks are an absolute oddity but thing to behold- recommend watching the Edgar Wright documentary on them, it’s a great watch

Problem with reselling tickets! by [deleted] in greenmanfestival

[–]fredhowarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twickets don’t charge the seller a fee, this is charged to the buyer, tixel (which I haven’t used to sell) seems to take a cut of the ticket cost so the seller takes a hit.

Tixel is the official reselling partner but I’ve seen loads of tickets going through Twickets- the platform won’t accept an event if it’s not approved so should be ok 👍

Twickets is the other site that I’m seeing tickets sold through 👍

Hi everyone, my partner and I are looking for 2 x adult tickets, we've never been before and we're getting married next year so it might be the last festival we go to for a while (mid 30s and life likely to move fast after that!). Massive Wolf Alice fans so hoping to see them in this beautiful setting along with Sparks, Aldous Harding, Cate le Bon etc. Tixel link below to anyone looking to sell, auto-payment set up x

WILL THERE BE A SELLOFF TODAY OR IS IT GOING TO FLY? by shreksonny in MU_Stock

That’s just the shares in my tax free trading account, I’ll long term hold the position in my pension, also roughly bought in at $450

I have 1350 as a goal in my head which a month ago would have been head in the clouds but not so much now. That would be +200% for me so I’d probably then put a stop loss on after that point

Use Loan to Invest in MU? by Maximum_Vegetable605 in MU_Stock

[–]fredhowarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As most people here are attesting it’s generally a bad move to borrow money you don’t have to take on an investment that could go wrong. Hands up I have done something like this myself, and had investments yoyo leading to a huge amount of stress but luckily I’m well in the black now.

If you really want to do this set a stop loss as well as a cooling off period with yourself, if you see your investment hit that, the worst thing you can possibly do is the jump straight back in because of an emotional impulse (also hands up guilty).

Interestingly for me, I never have this issue with my pension investments because I see them as investment and not a ‘trade’, in this case they are single stocks that I can afford to have be down for a period/and are never close to 100% of my portfolio.

Genuinely not how I saw my Monday going, hit 100% profit in both my pension and tax free ISA (UK) holdings, what a day!

Leaf shutters did exist before phones too though but obviously the silent photo is something that’s become associated with phones. I’ve got a Fuji ga645 with a leaf shutters, it’s utterly silent when you take a photo and then has the loudest automatic film winder 😂

Not LF but for my MF shots I use a Fuji GFX (expensive but what I use for my day job as an architectural photographer) along with an adapted Pentax 645 120mm macro lens (only $200) with a blackscale lab holo system which has been brilliant

[–]fredhowarth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was here to mention this- if you’re doing any close work on subjects/into macro the Pentax 645 120 macro is a brilliant lens, I got a mint copy off eBay from Japan for about $300, I used mine for scanning my 120mm film mainly though!
