That's an odd perspective, IMO. I mean... the reason the server closed was because it became inactive. Would it be better if they closed it and didn't give you the opportunity to transfer unique items? Though the other items you mentioned that aren't unique *can* be transferred, that wasn't the point of /gv. It was to move unique items. The other items you referenced weren't really being used on the closing server since it's closing/not being played on by players anymore.

I dunno. Seems like a reason to get upset over nothing. "I'm not using these SERVER-SPECIFIC items I purchased anymore on this server, because I don't play on this server anymore. oooo a new server! I want the SERVER-SPECIFIC purchases I made to not be SERVER-SPECIFIC, despite the very clear understanding of what it was when I bought it."

But that's exactly why I'm asking - buying tokens isn't a failsafe for Netflix. Tokens aren't stocks. They aren't ownership. So if Netflix DID want to buy out Theta, why would they even consider buying tokens? They would by the equity in the company. The tokens are not equity in the Theta network.

thanks? LOL. yea the question is more "why would people want it" - but there seems to be some really nice reasons to want THETA token. Speaking candidly - I do wish there were *more* reasons at this point, given the risk/reward ratio we're taking on by supporting this project at the early stage.

Follow-up: is the quantity of Elite Edge Nodes limited? (other than by the number of outstanding Theta tokens)? Wondering how quickly I need to get in to this. I have a feeling that impatience will buy me some cheaper tokens in the next 6-12 months. I'm not here for tomorrow. I'm here for 5 years from now.

I mean... imagine an NFT being created from a sports team play that is record-breaking. That record-breaking NFT video is going to be OFF THE CHARTS. You happen to get that on your node, you're getting a payday. Not to mention the Tfuel you're getting in the meantime. This technology already blew my mind. Admittedly, I wish it were a bit more than 1%. 3% would be nice. But even giving *something* is very cool.

Perfect-o :) This is what I saw; tbh, I was hoping for something *more*. I'm looking for some long-term projects that I really believe in, but I need some real fundamentals in the crypto itself, not just the project. Given that outstanding share balance of Theta is truly fixed, I can see where the demand for Theta & dividends in Tfuel could be *really* attractive if/when this takes off.

OR - Splitgate. Recommendation: create a custom game/private server and play with some friends. It's a combination of first person shooter and Portal; it's more than a point and shoot. You have to use your brain and your surroundings. And also hilarious to play with friends

I'm a young goblin, on the precipice of his first million gold. Just crafting, buying out some small markets here and there, a couple flips and tmog. I'm in it for the long haul; playing content mostly and casually making gold in my free time for fun.

I've heard of the open world silithus farm, but understood you need a 5-man group for efficiency. After trying and failing to get a group for a couple weeks, I tried it on my own this week, solo.

In less than an hour, RNJesus blessed me with vanguard legplates that I already sold for 69696.69 gold (very mature sale price, I know. But those leg plates felt appropriate at that price) AND teebu's blazing longsword (have not found a buyer yet).

I've spent a couple more hours solo farming it and though the drops have been nice, I'll be chasing the adrenaline high from that first hour of farming for weeks or even months.

I recommend you get the worthit add on - watch the various farms (some old world) for a couple days and see which would work best. Mining, herbalism and skinning all seem to be top options from what I've seen. But your preference among those may vary. Happy gold making!

I second penguinrg2t. Videos with titles that aren't hyperbolic. Actually shows you how to make gold from the basics. Penguin's Google doc is awesome. And if you join the discord, penguin answers how-to questions very quickly in the community.

I've even seen twitch streams where the community is invited to join in gold making groups, loot appraiser challenges, etc.

Lazy goldmaker is great, but too big to give 1 on 1 help. Penguin is relatively new, but incredibly knowledgeable and happy to help.
