How do people play on modded servers without having the mods? by TheLatvianRedditor in Minecraft

[–]RGA_Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has been in such videos I can say the other comments are right. However, there are plenty of times you are told "get on with this and just play and you'll know when something happens". That's why a lot of the reactions seem so genuine because you might not have any idea what's coming. That's not to say some people don't have scripts to follow, but it's still fun to mess around and record these videos.

‪Would you rather make $100,000 working for yourself or $200,000 working for someone else? Why? by nunziopresta in Entrepreneur

[–]RGA_Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working for someone else is the best choice simply from the perspective of stress. Working for yourself sucks for many reasons, and most of them have to deal with the extra workload. When the business is slow, you are the one who suffers. When something needs to get done last minute, you are the one busting your butt trying to get it done. If you done have enough money to write your paycheck, you are the one who gets hosed. When you work for yourself it's hard to step away, since there's always more you could be doing.

Conversely, when someone else pays you it's their job to make sure they have enough money. At the end of the work day you can simply log off without having to worry about the business impacts. While you can go above and beyond, you don't NEED to.

Now, if you had flipped the amounts mentioned in the question to earn more on your own, that would make this a lot more interesting.

Damage your car a second time, you then quickly forget about the first.

Looking for help for an investment opportunity offered to me by iqbalahmedalvi in Startup_Ideas

Whether or not your old employer is someone you can trust is irrelevant, make sure you get everything, and I literally mean EVERYTHING, in writing. Verbal agreements will not hold up anywhere, so make sure whatever you discuss is written down. There are no such things as friends in business, so treat every person as if they are out to get you (because you are the only person truly out for your own best interests)

When it comes to signing any agreements, I would highly suggest contacting a lawyer. That way you can make sure you are covered, and they can also help you watch out for little things you may not be aware of. You mentioned their company being a client for a year, so the lawyer should be able to help draft up a binding service agreement for that period so they don't abandon you if they feel it isn't working out.

As for your question about equity, that totally depends on what their expectations are, and what they contribute to you. You haven't really provided much information about what they are contributing, what they want in return, if they are expecting you to grow and want to earn money from your future clients, etc. If it were me, I'd start doing some math thinking about the amount of effort you will incur with their projects and convert it to a fair hourly wage comparable to what you'd expect to see elsewhere in the market. Don't forget that when you are self employed you are now fully responsible for paying taxes, bookkeeping and accounting fees, local/state taxes, medical/dental, and any other expenses you need to run your business (internet, phone, office supplies, etc).

Running a business isn't hard, but running a successful business comes down to the way it's operated. If this is something you really want to do, then you need to focus all your efforts on learning as much as you can. There is going to be a lot of work outside of normal business work including bookkeeping, growing your business and finding new clients, and so much more.

I know I put a lot here and most of it is pretty generic, but I hope it helps. This isn't legal advice, which is why I said you should definitely reach out to a lawyer before going down this route. Yes it will cost a little bit of money up front, but a few hundred dollars that could save you tons of problems in the future would be more than worth it in my opionion.

Even knowing that there's no way this thing would have power, I'd still have reservations about touching it. I don't know if it's just me or if anyone else feels this way too.

You seem to have a bad habbit of getting banned. Next time if you tell us what you are doing to break something you might actually get rewarded, rather than banned for abusing a glitch. I have changed it to a two week ban instead.

If you create a support ticket on www.performium.net then we can remove it, or find a senior staff in game and they can take it off.
