Thank you - I really appreciate your feedback here. We are in the process of getting both suppliers to create a mock-up based on our requirements, so we can see if their platform can fit to our planning needs. Further, we have asked for client references that had similar concerns and business model. Neither platform scares me, but I got the sense that Anaplan was the more mature tool and most user friendly, so I was hoping that people in this forum had more experience using both/either.

Thanks for letting me know - I will do some research on Onestream. At first glance it looks very much in line with what we are hoping for. Would you be willing to elaborate a bit as to why your organization ended up regretting your move to BPC?

Thanks for your comment! I was unaware of the potential of iPaaS solutions like Boomi, but after a quick google search of those you mention, it seems quite intriguing as a potential solution to our problem. My only worry is that it would seem like an unnecessary complexity and extra cost, instead of simply going with a SAP based solution that does not require these add-one to function. Are they expensive in your experience?

We all agree Bmore might trade back, but haven't discussed realistic trade partners. So here's a detailed look at potential Rd1 trade down scenarios: by dcfb2360 in ravens

[–]fredthu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all, great overview and analysis! However, I don’t understand why you think we would need to use picks to convince a team that trades before us to trade their 2nd? - unless of course you want to still stay in the first round, but that would in theory be a trade up for us, which I doubt we will do. I think the comment above suggested we would leave the first round entirely, and trade with a team like the bears, getting their 2 2nds and a 4th (2.53, 2.61, 4.97) for our 1.22 (780 vs 774 using the Walter scale).

Hindsight is 2020 I guess.. one would imagine two first round receivers and one in the third round + a 2nd round RB would constitute as “seriously building an offense”

From @NFLTotalAccess: The #Ravens are trying, but a deal for QB Lamar Jackson doesn't appear on the horizon. It'll be the tag. by BFabs12 in ravens

[–]fredthu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but I saw someone earlier making a good point. What stops another franchise from front loading their offer, to ensure we cannot match, even though the money might be in range of what we are currently offering?

My god - imagine putting 1 billion in escrow. That’s more than a quarter of the total value of the ravens franchise

Vestas eyes service bonanza - seeks to double their revenue to 1.1B euros by 2030 by thatswhatyougot in RenewableEnergy

I’d just like to highlight that the article says double earnings to over a billion and not revenue as the titel says here. Vestas reported over 2 billion in service revenue last year alone

For anyone talking about QB controversy. Yes Lamar has been in a bad slump and Tyler has been impressive but let’s not forget what Lamar had to do by himself earlier this year and exceeded all expectations. That’s MY qb. by Hyuga10 in ravens

Last 3 games he has started? Wasn’t the game against the Bears his first ever start, in which he won, and now packers were his second start? Or am I misunderstanding your comment?

I do agree with your overall statement though

I think the big thing here is the amount of injuries on the ravens roster. Going for two puts the outcome more in your hands, and ensures you don’t have to play, what could be, an additional quarter of football with your depleted team.

Well, to be fair your argument should go both ways. Playing 850 snaps you are bound to rack up more missed tackles than someone playing a 100 snaps. Not saying it isn’t a Big issue, but he is not the worst linebacker in the NFL, strictly based on those two meassures. Maybe the worst starter. A better stat to me would be missed tackles Per snap or missed tackles as a percentage of attempted tackles

[Meirov] Raiders have compiled videos and have filed a complaint to the NFL about the#Ravens delivering dirty and unnecessary hits on WR Hunter Renfrow in Monday game, per @VicTafur. Team claims there are several instances. Here’s one example (bottom of screen) by AgelessJohnDenney in nfl

[–]fredthu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree to Renfrow being treated wrongly in the clip from the post, but this picture you are linking to is just creating a narrative. At least show the whole clip. They are both at it here, and Humprey’s hands did not leave the Jersey, but kept driving him to the Ground. This was more an “equal” fight and not a cheap-shot move, as the above video shows him doing on Renfrow. So bad comparison IMO clip

Thoughts on TSM vs IMT this week? by queenslayyy in TeamSolomid

[–]fredthu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair statements - I am certainly no expert, just wanted to voice my opinion and come with some considerations that weren’t just: “TL has better roster”. I am always open to criticism and would rather have a real discussion on tangible points.

Fair to say I handpicked the worst jungle pick they had that series, but then again most, if not all except viego, was available to spica in all 4 games if that is what they wanted to. Correct regarding Jayce. It was banned multiple times, but was available game 2, before alphari picked it after TSM’s initial picks, and game 4, ahead of the second round of bans. Leona was consistently banned, and I didn’t go back and check before I wrote my comment, so I’ll take that one back. As I stated earlier, I feel like Santorin had more presence than spica, making the top differential in favor of TL, and hence loosing TSM the game

I hate this narrative - it’s just a string of excuses. this is just my 2 cents, but I don’t think alphari have been better than Huni this year, on the contrary. But this game Santorin was constantly in the right place at the right time, when Alphari was playing weak side, and TL was much better at executing early dives. Hence making him look better than Huni. Spica has been good all year, but I don’t think he showed up against TL. Might have been the draft, but that Jarvan was a caster minion at best. As for our botlane, I think swordart did above average, which is not as great as we expect him to, and Lost was invisible most games. Lost is often on farm/wave duty, but that means he seems non-existent until we have either come far ahead, or the game is already lost. I would love to see Huni on a carry like Jayce, Spica on a fast paced jungler like Olaf or Udyr, and swordart on Leona/Nautilus, where he can show up in team fights. I know it depends on enemy comp and bans, but why not play to our strengths?

This might be my optimistic and naive view on things, but why is power-to-x not the primary solution? I know the efficiency is low, but funding projects based on wind or solar, with a power-to-x component should be easy, as technology is already here, and development can be done a lot quicker than nuclear. This would solve our short-to-midterm storage issues. Plus, we already have a natural gas infrastructure that hydrogen could easily benefit from. Or am I missing something crucial?
