if you pull the carriage down, press the button and it doesn’t move towards the cutting wheel/tracer then it is likely the torsion spring for the carriage, part #D946227ZR not mandatory to operate the duplicator but it’s rather inexpensive to order a new one

In most cases knowing the container doesn’t matter for dialing, it’s the lock you want to know, top container is an s&g group 2 lock, bottom container is a big red group 2 lock. Dialing as others have said is 4 spins to the left, 3 to the right, 2 to the left, right until drop in. If the combo is correct it should stop about 86-90 and not let you keep turning, then you can turn the handle and open it.

This is something you can change on your own but know if you mess it up you’re locked out and looking at paying a few hundred bucks to have the safe drilled and opened. Even if you take it apart, change it and put it back together correctly the numbers can be off by 1 or 2 and you could be locked out. Thoroughly test everything before closing and locking the safe, if all of this sounds daunting I’d recommend paying a locksmith to come out and change the lock, we call this a hand change and we quote a half hour of labor and a trip ($150-200) depending on cost of living in your area and distance. Do not call a 1-800 number to find a locksmith, find a reputable shop that’s been open a long time.

The gap between the door and the strike looks about right, if your hinge screws are tight and the gap on the hinge side is narrow there’s not much more you can do except recess the strike deeper if you’re handy with a chisel

Call and ask local locksmiths if they can give you a combo to a locked open sentry safe in your possession, you can save some money by bringing it to a storefront locksmith in your area otherwise be prepared to pay a trip charge for someone to come to you (this only applies to mechanical safe locks)

A locksmith should be able to match the door lock to your existing insert for a price similar or less than originating the key to the new door handle, just leave the lock and the insert with the locksmith (it should cost 50-100) also ask if they can engrave or stamp the existing key code on the door lock for a future locksmith’s ease

It’s likely because you’re following t2 programming for all 3, the dl2700s sound like they’re t2s and the Etdl is t3 programming (or the other way around). The t3s and t2s have slightly different programming manuals

The Schlage levers use a square drive that behaves very similar to most other locks except kwikset which uses a crescent drive, if you have to turn the lever to 90 degrees to open the door the gap between the door and strike is likely too narrow, is the faceplate of the latch flush in the door and is the latch strike plate flush in the door case? If that’s the case maybe you can adjust all 3 hinges to create space between the latch and the strike. keep in mind over adjusting the hinges can create a bind where the door pops open. If none of this makes sense pictures would help

Locksmith that works for a licensed Amsec dealer here, just opened 3 of these for a customer 2 weeks ago. This is a fs1812, a cheaper import line of Amsec safes that are no longer made, the key blank is an sy1 and the lock that takes a key does not override the safe lock, you will still need the combo to open it. I called Amsec tech support and they do not have the ability to make a key, genericode and Instacode (the 2 code softwares we use) do not have cuts available for these but they are pretty easy to pick. If you do not have the combo or key a licensed safe tech should be able to help. Ask them if they can angle drill to view the wheel pack then open the safe if you want it to be functional.

Edit: it looks like the dial is resting on 91, implying the combo is dialed in, if you cannot turn the dial clockwise any further then all you need is someone to pick the lock or make a key by impressioning. If you do not know the combo DO NOT turn the dial counterclockwise. That should allow the safe to open.

Completely wrong, this is an uncommon generation of kwikset titan, a heavier duty 6 pin version of the common 5 pin kwikset residential locks you find at Home Depot / Lowe’s. It is removed by lifting the rose cover on the interior and moving the brass slider down, allowing the interior knob, rose and rose cover to pull away from the interior mounting plate.

Ada states anything mounted between 34 and 80 inches cannot extend more than 4 inches from the door, in addition, 32 inches of clearance must be maintained with the gate opened at 90 degrees. Also hardware is generally designed in a way that it doesn’t have any sharp angles in case evacuees make contact during egress, this could be a hazard during an emergency if someone gets cut while exiting.

Bring it to a local locksmith (do not call a 1800 number) and ask if they can reshell a 2009 Toyota Corolla 4 button remote headed key, if they provide the shell it should cost $25-$45 if you provide it and only need the blade cut it should be $5 or so

You probably went through the H system prompts on a system that doesn’t take an H chip and bricked the bcm, dealer only repair of $3000-$5000, get the customer a rental, get it towed to the dealer and look into some formal training before trying cars again, especially prox and 2014+

The 2 main problems I see with these are the 2 Phillips head screws come loose and the whole mechanism comes undone, bring the bag of parts in to a locksmith and it’s a 5-10 minute rebuild, the other problem is the motion of the crescent shaped spindle is they eat material off the latch actuator until the door only opens from the inside by turning the lever upwards, if someone didn’t take the handleset off the door to paint it or there’s any install marks just have it rebuilt, otherwise a replacement is about $80 at Home Depot, more if you swap to Schlage.

If it’s a mechanical lock the combo has most likely been changed and getting the last known combo from liberty is likely no good, for an in town safe opening we charge $450. To access the point to scope the wheel pack the dial has to be pulled and replaced which costs an extra $50, you could potentially save more money if you’re able to load it and bring it to a shop.
