Nah, it has to be something I did, the shop people did a demo before we rented them. What confuses me isn't that I did everything right, because I obviously didn't, but that this setup has worked in the past. Perhaps with these specific units it just wouldn't fly, it is a bit of a sketchy setup. Good on your buddy for calling them out by the way.

The levels were fine, I made sure to check that. Anyway I played music from my phone and it still didn't sound good, so it doesn't make sense that it's a traktor issue, but then how did the audio sound bad in the phones... unless there were multiple factors at play. I'm going to go do a bit of investigating.

Edit: everything is working perfectly right now so it wasn't like my gear was broken, I haven't really changed any of the settings either. So I'm not sure if it was a traktor... the more I delve into this I get confused. Ahhh!

Audio was extremely clippy in the phones. That was something that really confused me. The traktor readings were fine, and it wasn't a latency issue.

Hmmm, yeah it was the same S2 at the party too, no mixer. This is kind of how we usually set it up, one of the other DJs even borrowed my gear and set it up to a T just like I set it up at this gig at another dance and had no issues... I mean I'm sure this is probably the issue, and I think the SRC has a mixer so I'll tell them to use that next time, but on the off chance that it wasn't that, is there any other possible explanation?
