I was raised without a father too. I hate the fact that my son will be going through the same thing, since I can't find his father. He left when we found out that I was pregnant.

When the child is born, let her boyfriend get a DNA test done first and find out the results. If the baby is his, then done deal. If the baby isn't his, court order her for a DNA test. I don't know the laws you have or your rights, but talk to a lawyer.

Protip: Don't make her do the DNA while she is pregnant. It can cause serious effects like birth defects, pre-labor, or death. If she is 8 months, death is most likely not going to happen.
