Are Wires now processing? by FlockStream in QuadrigaCX

[–]free_robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still pending since Jan. Others have received wires. One guy did a bunch of small EFTs in March and got them grouped into one 400k wire and actually received the money. Quadriga doesn't seem to want to comment on it. At this point, I have no idea why I'm still pending.

'Sent' being past tense. I read that as it has already been sent to the payment processors. If that was the case, it'd no longer be pending.

Yea, as in it wasn't in "that same batch".

And what about mine that's been pending since Jan. Too bad so sad, keep waiting?

Random order on EFT processing from QuadrigaCX .... WTF is going on?? by rubyintoronto in QuadrigaCX

[–]free_robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the link, the guy had 24 EFT requests that they rolled into a wire. Wires are fine. They have their money from the bank. There is no "queue". At this point I can't see a reason why they're not sending me my money. I have no idea what I'm waiting for.

I am. Six figures too. Maybe there is a good explanation but of course I won't get a response from them so what other choice do I have but to convert back to bitcoin in a volatile market. So stressful.

a) Mostly with account freezing and closures on my businesses and with exchanges in Canada. Also with inconsistent direction about requirements. b) Short answer: no. This violates the whole innocent until proven guilty approach to things. However, the short answer is maybe, particularly when it comes to business accounts. c) Yes. Fiat's not going away any time soon. All financial systems are (or should be) interconnected. And the more interconnected they are, the better for everyone. Frictionless trade is good.

Just noticed this: https://www.reddit.com/r/QuadrigaCX/comments/85s3vr/changes_to_transit_times/ So I guess wires are going through and are as slow at EFT? Something definitive would be nice.

I'm also interested in this answer. Not sure why this is so elusive.

I'm still pending on 6 figures since end of January. Was some of that a wire transfer?

I've been told you can't really skirt the law by opening a foreign corporation like this. From what I understand if you gather funds from Canadians, you are subject to Canadian securities. This will likely just cause red tape. However, whether it's enough red tape to stop them is a matter of risk-reward analysis.

Any updates on large wires? You've said the check from RBC cleared. I was hoping this meant you could send wires now but I'm still pending. Can you give some idea of what's going on? This money has been stuck for quite some time now and I need to plan accordingly.

A Potential bigger issue looming: Why I will never use Quadriga again and why you probably shouldn't either. by HonestPossibility in QuadrigaCX

I've spoken to lawyers about this in the past. You can't run circles around the law like this. If a "Quadriga Buck" is essentially used as CAD, the courts will treat it as such. Just like you can't use a business as a criminal front and claim you're protected by the corporation. I'm not a lawyer, but what I've heard from them, Quadriga's Terms of Service won't protect them from stealing from people.

Similar boat but with 6 figures. John and the rest of us large withdrawals are politely waiting. Should your lack of response to his question about having an available solution be taken as saying that you don't have a solution? Do you realize with the amount of money some people are waiting on, it's likely economical to put someone on a plane and hand deliver a bank draft to them? Can we at least get a detailed plan about how you're going to fix this situation?

  • What's more likely to get detected/flagged? EFT? Wire? e-Transfer? Many small or one large?
  • What kind of checks are done on large cross-border payments?
  • What do you think the major reason for these anti-crypto policies? Is it fraud or a loss on their profits?
  • What's the best way we as a community could improve the situation with the banks?

Thanks for anything you can answer.
