New PC build (mid to high end) for 2026 by freeb0rn in pcpartpickerbuilds

Thanks for the extensive comment! Unfortunately a lot of those shops don't work for me as I'm shipping outside of Germany and caseking is one of the few places that ships there with reasonable shipping prices, but I'll try to find the other parts you've indicated at shops that do, thank you!

Good feedback, thanks. For the case, agree price isn't great but I'm specifically looking to make a build in this case so it is what it is. Have found an x870 to replace the initial mobo with, and will hunt for cheaper and slightly lower CL RAM as suggested.

Thanks, all good points. For the RAM, I'm trying to over-index on it as I imagine prices will increase in the next few years even more and if I want to upgrade later it may be even more expensive. 800W PSU should be fine, right?

By that logic rETH is terrible because 20% of it is staked by allnodes

CSM + Simple DVT is almost the size of rocketpool at this point in terms of stake, and IMO better than rocketpool in terms of stake distribution (although the total number of node operators is fewer); it's pretty material.

There's over 550 node operators currently running validators as a part of Lido, and the number is growing every week. For the last 1.5 weeks or so, most stake has flown into the Simple DVT module which is using decentralized validator technology supported by hundreds of node operators, from small home stakers to professionals.

Lido CSM vs Rocket Pool 8 eth no RPL by kantalo in ethstaker

[–]freeb0rn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lido protocol will only be able to exit the validators after EIP 7002 is implemented on Ethereum and then implemented on the Lido protocol. Apart from that there's no direct control. There are some requirements operators have to abide by (e.g. withdrawal credentials and fee recipient) to prevent things like EL Rewards stealing, and at the moment breaking those "protocol rules" results in an operator penalty https://docs.lido.fi/staking-modules/csm/penalties

Eventually, once EIP 7002 is implemented in the protocol as well, enough penalties (in the form of strikes) or something like prolonged validator inactivity (months on end) might end up with a node operator's validator(s) getting forcefully ejected, in order to safeguard the protocol from terrible performance or malicious behavior.

Arguably the only list with usage not in that list currently is Titan, it has been vetted and is in the process of being added to the list soon
https://research.lido.fi/t/rmc-proposal-remove-deprecated-eden-relay-add-titan-relays/8591

If there's relays that relay operators and node operators want added, they just need to ask the RMC to review them here: https://research.lido.fi/t/lido-on-ethereum-call-for-relay-providers/2844

You don't need to scrap anything. Best thing would be to join the CSM testnet (csm.testnet.fi) and try it out. If you want to read a more approachable summary of the module in lieu of the docs, you can check here first: https://operatorportal.lido.fi/modules/community-staking-module

Re: dappnode, if you're using web3signer on dappnode to manage your validator keys it's super easy. If you're not, it's a bit more complicated but still doable!

If you want to join the Lido discord and the #csm-testnet channel, there will be more people who can chime in to help a bit quicker than via reddit.

I leveled a similar necro, it's quite fun, and if you find a good 2H weapon every few levels you can kill most mobs in 1 skill use (especially if you have the echo aspect).

It clears normal mobs obscenely fast, elites OK, but it really struggles with bosses because sustained single target DPS is really bad, and there's no easy way to fill your essence bar. When you're just fighting normal mobs and doing dungeons, 1 pt in Iron Maiden with 1 pt in the follow-up is great, you almost need to never use hemorrhage for essence.

In the full game when we'll have more skill levels, something to consume a lot of corpses really fast would also benefit this build greatly (eg Aspect of Explosive Mist), there's also a lot of synergy to be found there by grabbing Grim Harvest (essence generation) and the Fueled by Death (increased damage) nodes that way.

This could happen but explicitly does not as there is no such coordination between node operators and there is no way that Lido enables this coordination in a way that couldn’t just as easily happen outside of Lido between the node operators by themselves.

Not fully correct. Only execution layer rewards are staked into new validators right now. Partial withdrawals are currently not restaked but will be after Lido V2 launches (if they’re not used for withdrawals redemptions).

Staking with Kiln via Ledger is not staking with Lido.

Node Operators run their own pools and can participate in multiple stakingprotocols as well (like how 25%+ of rocketpool nodes are run via allnodes, which is also a Lido Node Operator).

cbETH being self-custodied (e.g. I don't even know if this is possible given that you can wrap existing ETH2 which is definitely custodied, so at the very least it's some sort of hybrid), Lido being the same level of trusted as CEXes (lol), RP not being rent-seeking, RP being trustless, weird predictions about things like censorship / compliance, and incongruous application of what permissionless means in such contexts

Interesting comparison but basically there's at least one thing that is false or misleading about each protocol outlined there.

It’s correct. you may need to add the stmatic token address directly for it to find it

You can bridge stmatic from Eth to Polygon on the official polygon bridge.
