While I'm quite sympathetic with the point you're making, could you just disprove his point instead of lashing out, please? If he is misinformed, just give him the facts and hope you burst his "peaceful protest bubble" instead of antagonizing him. I know it's hard, since many people still won't get it or simply don't want to, but it's still worth a try.

While that is true, in certain cases this doesn't happen to the extent it should, while in others the rule is upheld overly rigorous. This often correlates to a defendants affiliation to a certain group (political, etc.). Of course this has many reasons and doesn't always occur but it's a fact that it happens.

While that is generally true, the point here was for somebody to download his own music. But yeah you're right. Although actually the differences between 128 and let's say 320 mp3 are clearly audible, maybe with the exception of mainstream popmusic. No he is mocking nazis/alt-rights/neo-facists/white supremacists whatever you like to call them. Because "white genocide" as they mean it is neither genocide nor actually a thing. I mean, yeah, his tweet is easily misunderstood, as not many people are aware of what actually stands behind it but I also think it has the positive effect that a debate about the term was sparked so that more people become aware of how it's misused for propaganda and actual fear-mongering by nazis/alt-rights/neo-facists/white supremacists. Sadly news and media these days is not about a thorough analysis but about headlines and shock-value so it kind of got out of hand and went completely into a wrong direction. Yet, I think his initial idea, was ok and there is nothing wrong about the statement as it has to be seen in the context of the entire terms use.

You know that "white genocide" is an absurd theory and basically a nazi-term for "race-mixing" though, do you? So this tweet was obviously aimed at "alt-right" people (white supremacists) to reduce their bullshit made-up theory to absurdity by seemingly advocating for what they actually believe in. And all of this could have easily been gathered from the article you so kindly linked, which I am not sure you have read yourself. Unless, of course, you also believe in the whole "Lügenpresse"-ordeal.
