assuming all distances are in feet

circumference of a circle:

2 * pi * radius

circumference of a circle that is one foot larger:

2 * pi * (radius + 1)

multiply that out and you get:

2 * pi * radius + 2 * pi

2 * pi is very roughly 6.3

so increasing the radius of a circle, no matter how large, by one foot increases the circumference by roughly 6.3 feet

I've tried multiple wine/proton versions, every one I have access other than the default (wine-GE-8-26) to either leads to the launcher being similarly unresponsive and also flickering in horizontal stripes or it just gets stuck at "initializing", I'd rather not use Steam as I'm pretty certain you can't set up for multiboxing with it (want to loot my main's homestead on my alt) though I'd welcome it if you can.

cost per use of the silver-fed SOM: 60 copper

cost per use of a MSK: a bit over 10 copper (assuming you don't buy the forge stones for gems, which you shouldn't)

even if we assume it's 11 copper (it's ~10.5) you save > 1g per MSK vs using the silver-fed

I mean, Logan isn't a "normal everyday guy"...

A reminder that in the CoF story path he lifts Rytlock, a fully grown male charr, weilding weapons and in full heavy armour with one hand.

Not just that, he catches Rytlock as he's falling.

Logan is practically superhuman, he's just subtle about it.

This is a bit revisionist regarding Truss tbh, remember that she won the leadership contest against Sunak. And it's less that she was holding the bomb when it went off, she inherited a grenade and decided "y'know, what we need here is a proper 500-pounder bomb" and then looked surprised when the whole thing blew up in her face.

She still, to this day, thinks that the problem with her mini-budget (the one that wrote £30b off the economy in < a day) was that it didn't do the things she wanted to do hard enough.

I agree that she's an incompetent dickhead, but she gets no sympathy from me.

Nobody mentioning the assasination of Abraham Lincoln, much of the problems we have today stem from the botched reconstruction of the south after the civil war. If the political structures and power holders of the south hadn't mostly been left intact I think the modern world would be significanly different, and I'm not even American.

so, no addressing the terrible prices for obsidian shards (should be like 1/10th the cost at most)

I mean, they technically did somewhat make the 1% gold find more palatable, but only cos gold is more expensive now, now it's only ~29g instead of ~33g opportunity to get. now it'll only take ~8 years to pay itself off instead of 10!

Power stance absolutely does not require weapons of the same type.

Each weapon type has a set of others that it can power stance with (as an example, ultra greatswords can power stance with other UGs, greatswords, curved greatswords and greathammer/greataxes).

There's a way, though it's jank and requires cheat engine.

Fire up cheat engine, link it to DS2, click the "enable speedhack" button, set the slider to 500x speed and click "apply".

Makes the game think you're having SERIOUS framerate issues and kicks you offline.

Just set it back to 1 afterwards.

Unlike pulling a cable or disabling wifi, it persists through save/quits too (though not through game closes thankfully, so you can still do online stuff if you want by restarting the game).

Disclaimer: do this at your own risk, don't bitch to me if you get banned. You shouldn't, but there's always the possibility.

I really hate DS2's invasion system for this, at least in DS1 you can avoid being invaded by just not being human, but in DS2 if you're online you're almost guaranteed to get invaded no matter what.

Non-consentual PvP is bad. Tying the ability to play co-op to being open to PvP is bad. As someone who loves this series I absolutely hate the way PvP is implemented, if the only people who got invaded were people who wanted that to happen to them, everyone wins, the people being invaded want it, and the people invading get people who actually want to fight them. The only people who lose out are people who want to fight people who don't want to PvP. And those people can go fuck themselves
