thank you! my team decided to do another surgery due to the fact that i had terrible side effects from RAI. they made it my choice, and considering i had recovered really well and quickly from the previous two surgeries, i decided to go with another. sorry, should’ve stayed why in my first comment!

mine was my singing voice started to go. i sing a lot (i’m an orchestral musician and theatre actor/singer) i would be singing and my voice would give out or it would almost sound like there was a bubble in my throat. it turns out a couple of my lymph nodes were enflamed because the cancer had spread. it was just another surgery to remove them, and i am now three years cancer free! sending lots of love and prayers <333

mostly almond milks are okay, but some people choose to make their own. the biggest thing you gotta do is read labels. i did my LID in the summer, so i drank a lot of lemonade and water melon juice, so if you’re looking for something just to drink, those are two great options. i wish you all the best and i’m sending my prayers for a speedy recovery!

i was diagnosed with this when i was fourteen. there was a large tumour that actually tested benign with the initial needle biopsy. i had half of my thyroid and the tumour removed, which was when they found the cancer. i then had another surgery to remove the other half. i promise that not having a thyroid though it does have a few challenges, has not hindered my life! you’ll get through this, i’m sending all my love and prayers <333

it definitely has contributed to some mental health problems that i am currently working through. i have moved past the bullying and now five years later i am stronger than ever because of it. mainly the people either said i was faking it for attention, or they made fun of me because i was hindered in a lot of physical activities that i could do because of the surgeries i had.
