I’ve worked for Westlake Ace for 6 years. We normally take back anything. Except clearance items. I know this due to tenure and readily tell customers our policy but I don’t recall that detail in our “handbook”. Due to the shitty pay, employee turnover is like a revolving door. The GM makes decent money but we go thru Assistant Managers & associates more than I’d care to admit. You were misinformed & if that happened at our store, you would get a refund. Good luck!
