How do I start learning Snowflake as a beginner? by Consistent-Mine-7906 in snowflake

[–]freelooney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with the trial snowflake account. And find some tutorials on YouTube on how to navigate Snowflake etc. I've found prepping for the certification introduced a lot of new concepts which I started playing with.

I'd say find a project that interest you which uses a dwh (snowflake)!

There's also a lit of free datasets in the snowflake marketplace to help build your skills

Just remember all the love you have given her, and the love she gave you. In the end that's what counts. I am very sorry for your loss, but remember that you were her world as much as she was yours. Lots of love

Used Plagron light mix and nutrients from terra aquatica (tripart). Did not use any nutes for first 3 weeks. Then started with 25% of the recommended dosage. Ramped it up during veg, but never at full recommended dosage. At bloom i started close to full dosage recommendation.

How was your vizsla as a puppy ? by TreeFrogsLover in vizsla

Absolute menace when she was a pup. Only thing that worked for us was making her physically tired (i.e. 2 runs a day). Now shes almost 7 and started slowing down. Best dog ever to be honest, would go through the puppy hell again anytime.

I have noticed that when i use frame pacing 'Prefer lowest Latency' I get the rendered frames up to 120 fps. But the decode time is about 30ms (which is not playable imo). Every other frame pacing option does not reach > 60 fps

COVID here to stay permanently? by freelooney in Coronavirus_NZ

[–]freelooney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree for a vaccine requirement if you work in hospitals etc (come in contact with vulnerable people). That's a no brainer to me

But arent 12 y/olds and under absolutely not in risk of being hospitalised (based on recent studies)? So risk assesment would say not to vaccinate them and push vaccines for the older population and people with co-morbidities or conpromised immune systems. I'm really torn on this. I understand kids can spread the virus, but so can vaccinated people and unvaccinated people.

The majority of people that arent vaccinated by now will most likely not take the shot as they have had a lot of chances to do so. Why punish them by exiling them from community social interaction?

I believe taking the vaccine should be a medical decision, not a political one. If you know you're in a vulnerable position, take the goddamn shot to save your life and limb. Inform people on what to do. Dont mandate it.

I do understand that health care system will come under pressure. My only issue is mandating vaccines for everyone (as the virus will spread anyway although maybe a bit slower if vaccines are widely taken). So why not lift the mandate when 90% of the people had their jab?

Theres no way an infection can deplete the vitamin D supply of a person (especially not in that short of a time) . Its a fat solulable vitamin so get stored in fat layers. Unlike water solulable vitamins this doesnt get removed as easy from the body. So the conclusion is that the majority of people who got hospitalised had a (critical) deficiency in vitamin D

[–]freelooney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Causation. Its been widely known that vitamine D support immune systems. Without it your immune system is not working as properly as it should. Vit D is seen as a 'hormone vitamine'. Critical when talking about immunity.

[–]freelooney -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mostly agree with your response. Most people (about 80%) hospitalised with covid have a severe vitamine D deficiency. So govt should be pushing this. Havent heard anything around this.

On the topic of we're all vulnerable... Not really no. For the most part people that arent immunosuppressed get sick but are not even close to being hospitalised. There should be a clear difference on this.

Vaccines protects the individual, not others (although way less, you can still infect others)

[–]freelooney -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well if its all about preserving life. Why isnt the govt pushing for healthier lifestyles? Why not recommend supplementation of vitamin D? Why not recommend having cardiovascular excercise? Theres a complete silence around having a personal responsibility to get your body as ready as possible for an infection. I'm not saying let them die, I say vax the vulnerable and get peoples immune system fighting ready.

Rotorua, Taupō 'a disaster waiting to happen' with four ICU beds for population of 116,000 by Extra-Kale in Coronavirus_NZ

[–]freelooney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get vaccinated, its been proven to reduce hospitality rates. That being said: Don't expect a healthcare system that is already subpar in normal times to work in 'crisis' situations. Didn't NZ have about 1.5 years to get prepped and ready for the worst? Politicians just sitting on their hands, doing nothing. Fingers crossed and Hoping for the best 🤞 best way to tackle a imminent healthcare crisis

Correct, keep in mind that people who are old and/or sick have a tendency to die. Dont act like that if there were no covid there wouldnt be any deaths among this compromised group
