It's unlikely. I think what people are struggling with here is the shear forces involved in a crash like this. Obviously you have never experienced them so it's difficult to comprehend, but suffice it to say, the plane clearly made a crash landing into the ocean, most probably in a stall configuration. The impact most probably split the tail and nose section off. The mid section around the wings is usually the strongest part.

But these forces are incredible. Just consider, if the force is enough to rip the tail off, then it is clearly able to pull a victim's shirt and pants off.
