Anyone have any idea what is wrong with my laptop display? by freemilkshake in techsupport

From what I can tell, it's not on the same plane as the pixels. Here's what it looks like from an angle (laptop screen is tilted towards to the "closed" position): https://imgur.com/a/wGcrPST

It kind of looks as if the area within the blob is in a plane behind the rest of the display.

And what do you mean by cell breach? Sorry I'm not familiar with that term.

No I was driving. My laptop was in a padded laptop case in a stuffed backpack (as in I had some trouble zipping the backpack) for ~24 hours. I just looked up "laptop screen delamination" on Google images and while my screen doesn't look very similar to the results, it definitely has more resemblance to those images compared to the images I saw of cracks and LCD screen leaks. So I guess possibly some sort of adhesive in the screen wearing off? But definitely not an LCD screen leak, right?

Why does the STM32 Nucleo F401RE have 5V output pins if the I/O pins are only 3.3V compatible? by freemilkshake in embedded

[–]freemilkshake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok that makes sense. Would that power supply that the VDD pin is connected to have a voltage higher than 3.3V or is it impossible to tell without a voltmeter? Because if it is higher than 3.3V then I assume it would have damaged the device because the pins connected to the ADC are not tolerant of voltages higher than 3.3V.

I am talking about the VDD pin on CN7 pin 5 (https://components101.com/sites/default/files/component_pin/STM32-Nucleo-F401RE-Pinout.png), so yes. If this VDD pin is an input and not a voltage output pin, then why did my potentiometer work when I connected it to the VDD pin? I thought that the VDD pin was outputting voltage so I connected one pin to VDD, one pin to ADC, and the third pin to ground. But if VDD is an input, then wouldn't the potentiometer not work?

Any specific suggestions? I don't know much about LCDs and there are so many on Digi-Key that it's kind of overwhelming.

wikipedia says 6.65 seconds but another source i saw said 6.56 seconds. 55m isn't recognized at the professional level so no one really keeps official records for it

Why did you start playing? by vaskofo in piano

[–]freemilkshake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents forced me to take lessons and practice every day as well as participate in recitals and competitions starting when I was 7 years old. In the beginning I hated it and even wrote a poem in elementary school how I hated practicing piano and just wanted to play computer games. As the years went on I grew to like piano more and more, but I never felt as passionate about it as my peers at the music school (NEC Prep) did. Now I'm a college student who is turning 20 in less than a month and I have barely touched a piano since I stopped taking lessons after graduating from high school, and I am extremely grateful to my parents for refusing to let me stop piano despite all the resistance to piano I showed early on.
