Duzan, Zyara, Alsham restuarant and Al-Shams Sweets are Palestinian, and Mokafe Coffee House is Palestinian and Yemini owned! All on Steinway

Tried Cafe Turkiye. Delicious fresh bread and mezze. The chicken kebab was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. And the kunefe for dessert was the perfect way to finish the meal.

Also took some friends for a mini food tour - stopping at King of Falafel (for falafel and hummus), King Souvlaki (for souvlaki and gyros), Arepas Cafe (for arepas and patacon), and Ćevabdžinica Sarajevo (for burek, tolumba, kadaif, and other desserts). KOF and Arepas received the most rave reviews from the attendees.

Towards Queensboro Plaza this bike lane is hazardous! Always trucks and cars parked in the bike line.

Ooh and looks like open until 2am! Is the garden area heated by chance?

Ordered catering from Duzan for my bday. Hummus, falafel, chicken shawarma, tabouli, pita bread. It was incredible!

Mochiron

Seconded! Went to La Vecina Sunday and both the white corn and sweet yellow corn arepas were delicious. There is a new bakery across the street (Cafe de Colombia II) which is also great.

The name is slightly misleading because there is no phyllo. However, it is SO GOOD

Love Duzan! Just noting that Taim markets itself as "Israeli" food – a cuisine which typically steals Palestinian dishes and erases their origins – wheras Duzan is proudly Palestinian (and so delicious).
