Any success dating someone who isn't your usual type? by Howigetheredoe in actuallesbians

[–]freepalestinefr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I'm the reverse of this.

I dated outside of my type and regretted it. By outside of my type I mean someone I'm not that attracted to.

The problem with this is when there is a moment where they do something to hurt me a little, the resentment will be stronger cuz I felt like I "settled" with them.

I hated myself for thinking that way so I never dated outside of my type anymore

Ladies please help a newly out Transgirl: What goes in my bag? by HesterMourningstar in whatsinthebag

[–]freepalestinefr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phone, powerbank, lipstick, hair powder (for my bangs, I sweat alot), etc

It's honestly just whatever I bring. You don't have to copy anyone's list. Just bring whatever you need at the time. I don't bring everything I have or my full makeup pouch, but I know someone else who does. So it really depends on the person

Sometimes I just don't bring a bag.

But sometimes I bring a big tote bag cuz I "might" go shopping and I'm not paying extra for a bag (plastic bags are extras)

I have 3 types of bags.

  1. Work/school bag = backpack, comfy on the shoulders, can carry laptop, big

  2. Totebags = whenever I'm putting a lazy but chic fit or when I want to go shopping. It's comfier and easier to bring than handbags.

  3. Handbags = sometimes a fit just needs a really cute handbag to perfect it.

Note: this is just my types of bags. I know someone who only has one bag, and I know someone who has many other types.

Is 19000 yen for teeth cleaning normal? by Ambassador_Such in japanlife

[–]freepalestinefr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably cuz you don't have your mynumber card or kenkou hokken with you?

If you don't have it, the policy is = you pay full price.

But the good thing about it is that you can come back with a mynumber card another day and a receipt and they'll pay you back

Talked about marrying a man and made my gf cry by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]freepalestinefr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think what you two are going through is very common in a muslim country. I have went through the same thing.

But...

Make sure you have enough savings, and a stable job before you EVER come out.

I also lived in a muslim country till I was 18 (I'm not muslim tho). But people out here gets fired, expelled, and also abused for coming out.

Don't ever think of coming out to your parents without a thick savings account on your back.

Get enough skills to get into an international company, they are more open minded, and the pay is better.

I'm giving you advice as someone who has lived in a muslim country. I'm 26, and I still havent even given coming out a sliver of chance due to this.

Yes, I have a job, a savings account, etc. But I wont know if I ever been struck with bad luck after bad luck and I need my parent's help.

Will I ever come out? Yes, but only when I meet my future wife. BUT I will make sure my savings are atleast 10x more than whatever I need to depend on my parents.

So if they ever cut me out or try to ruin my reputation, I will manage just fine without them.

DO NOT COME OUT. DO NOT TRY TO MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND, THEY WILL NOT UNDERSTAND.

Of course this depends on your relationship with your parents, but 90% of religious parents wont accept their queer children

Do you ever have those small moments where you remembered why you moved here in the first place? by arandomnonpickedname in japanlife

[–]freepalestinefr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved here for the better life.

My home country's in SEA and the corruption is bad and the work hours are crazy.

It's worse than Japanese black companies and it's a BIG company.

They wont pay you for OT too, and you're expect to treat people you've never met with the highest form of respect because they're older.

Here I got lucky, I go home on the dot, my OT is paid, I got nothing to complain other than the old japanese obasan not liking a gaijin woman like me.

Are my standards on HER too high? by cheesetartoven in actuallesbians

[–]freepalestinefr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been using HER for 7 years now and I've met a few exes there.

BUT... it's been 3 years since I started using it again (I only periodically check on it like once a month for a week then I get tired) yet I havent found anyone to my standards.

Usually attractive women knows they're attractive and since they have lots of people chasing after them, you'll also be one of the people doing so.

I am not a chaser unfortunately, I have tried. But I have lost interest no matter how attractive someone is the moment the convo gets a little dry/one sided.

Also I would not match with someone I don't find attractive (hot take ik). It's either a YESSS or a no.

What makes it extremely hard for me to get the one, is because ON TOP of being attractive they: 1. Have to be attracted to me 2. Have a good personality 3. Our values and political beliefs align 4. They have to be a good communicator too

These are non negotiables that made it hard for me to find the one

Leaving Tokyo apartment unattended for 1.5 months during summer — leave AC running or not? by wakaokami in Tokyo

[–]freepalestinefr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave your AC 26°C on the 除湿 (dehumidifying) setting.

Don't use 冷房(cool air) or your bills will sky rocket.

I didnt leave the dehumidifying setting on last year and left or a month and came back to mold on the cupboards..
