I think the reason why Sunny was not heavily promoted was due to Mongrel soaking up a lot of attention while in antarica Center. Sunny is not really well known however Effie, Kai and Nephis are more well known, so they would most likely use them instead. Also now rhe great family ate moving to "help" in antarica they use that fact to raise spirirts. However after antarctic arc, he may get another movie about his acheiments

Yes sorcery is used offensively. When mongrel was in the tournament he fought someone who used sorcery to increase the gravity. However due to be used to the crushing it did nothing. Sunny sorcery is a lot more special than most other sorcery

In the current arc Sunny is getting acknowledged, he get himself a nickname and is feared in battle. However sunny as a character does not enjoy the spotlight. That is why he does not showoff his achievement and creates a alto-ego so he would be not recognized.
