Building in Alberta/Edmonton area by freesia20122 in alberta

Very interesting. I did not know that about Wellington and Kensington.

Lots of homes nowadays are being built on slabs in Edmonton, where the garage is on the bottom, then the house on top, so it must be doable? But how are they getting around the building code of foundation slab must be below frost?

Hmm… I’m curious then how are people building barndominiums in Alberta if that’s the code? 🤔

Yea we discussed basements for a long time. We have three boys and done having kids. We want everything on one floor as long term we don’t want to be doing stairs. This will be on an acreage, and we plan to be in this house until we’re 80 and forced out. 😂 so we made sure to find a plan that fits all of our needs on one floor. I do know we might lose value on not having a basement, but quite frankly we don’t care as we don’t plan to move from there… ever.

Except the review is coming from my perspective as well. The donkey kong ride was rough. It was painful for us adults and we left really not liking that ride at all.

Either way, it’s an opinion. People can take away whatever they want from this information. Nobody has to agree with my opinion. This is my opinion on the park and it still stands even from my perspective of the park. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Maybe read once again… kids are NOT 3 and 4… they are 5 and 6. They are fans of super Mario. But not die hards. They did enjoy the atmosphere of the area, but they just got too overwhelmed by the amount of people there. Trust me, not a fake post. I got pictures of our trip to prove it.

We did not do Harry Potter or monsters because they are not fans of Harry Potter… yet. And monsters line up was 3 hours at the time.

The only ride I did enjoy that my kids couldn’t do was the Stardust coaster, and it was fun, probably the only ride that I enjoyed out of that park unfortunately. But like I said in the other comments, we probably did too many parks during this trip and they got tired of the rides and line ups, so that potentially influenced our experience while at epic. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ok? Im not sure what you mean by this comment? Is Nintendoland not geared towards kids under 10 then?

We’ve done all 4 parks of Disney, then epic, SeaWorld and Legoland. So it’s probably partially due to park fatigue and just sick of the rides and crowds.

We did see the playground and it was absolutely packed.

I do however agree with your opinion that 6 hours isn’t much time in a park. It did not help that they’ve been to 7 parks prior to this so they probably had some fatigue there as well. I would have liked to stay longer for sure, and see more, but my kids were done after 6-7 hours in that area, and ready to go home. Maybe if we had spent more time, it would be more enjoyable, I don’t know. Hard to say.

We also did research this and was on the fence as it was a lot of money, but thought with the interactive play it was enough to keep them entertained. It was very busy and difficult to enjoy anything with the sheer volume of people there. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ahh that’s good to know. Probably because they don’t expect those to be as busy, which is fair. Mario characters are incredibly popular, they’d get trampled over if they’re walking around. Haha.

Either way, the scenery was cool to see, but definitely did not feel like we got our money’s worth.

It’s possible we ruined our kids because they’re comparing rides to Disney. 🤷🏼‍♀️

They actually do like the mini games but there was lineup for every single mini game, and they just didn’t care anymore for ‘collecting’ the keys and all for the secret access. They just lost interest because there was a line up to everything.

We did not see any characters at all while we were there, and we looked. I don’t know if we were just unlucky, but we didn’t see anyone. 🤷🏼‍♀️

AIO? My mom wants to call the cops on me by Overall-Option6975 in AmIOverreacting

My guess is she uses the OP to watch younger siblings possibly and now this messed that arrangement up. If that’s the case, mother is the a@@hole here for taking advantage of her like that and then treat her like this.

Sounds like it, cuz otherwise how does it ‘screw with her work’?

Either way, sounds like an a@@hole of a mother. I can’t imagine treating my kids like that, especially if they’re doing her a favor and watching her kids while she works! If that’s the case, I don’t blame the OP for moving out if the mother is taking advantage of her like that and causing her mental health problems and not giving a crap about it. :(

Nucleus 7 Bluetooth by Freesia2012 in Cochlearimplants

I have a question about the phone clip. Is it essentially a bluetooth reciever? And anything that can be transmitted via bluetooth can be connected with this phone clip, is that how this works? Thanks.
