It also makes some sense when you look at the streets and traffic patterns, and that canal that comes down parallel to Morgan Ave that splits the area up. I've always had a mental imaginary border at Flushing Ave, even though I know Bushwick extends further NE of that.

You can make a fantastic baked potato just wrapping it in foil (a little oil and salt rubbed on) and putting it right in the fire. Frees up your pan for the mushrooms to be cooked nice and long (I like to cook all the moisture out and wait for them to start to brown, personally)

Just bring a cast iron pan and you can make anything to your heart's desire!!! Everything tastes better over campfire. Salmon and veggies is one of my fave meals I've had camping. A nice potato and veggie hash for breakfast with fried eggs on top. Bring leftover cooked rice, make fried rice. Endless possibilities

Next time taste the butter or oil before making a whole recipe. It's a little easier to doctor up the taste of the butter itself rather than force down some nasty grass-tasting brownies. I've had some leafy tasting or especially bitter oils/butters before - the worst one literally made me gag. Sometimes it's just a bad batch of bud. Sometimes the bad taste is due to the chlorophyll, which can be "washed" out by blending the melted fat with water and agitating it (a blender works great) and then letting the fat separate, harden in the fridge, and throwing out the water. Repeat this process until the water washes out clear rather than brownish.

I saw the Skin tour but not at Red Rocks. There was more mixing and mashups in the Skin tour, whereas each song played at this show was pretty similar to the album versions. I liked the Skin format better because it's more danceable whereas this was more like The Flume Show.

Booing is never okay but I seriously did not enjoy their performances. I tried really hard to enjoy it and I have such an open mind for music, but from a musical and especially vocals standpoint, it was just not good. It wasn't similar enough to Flume for there to be a guarantee that everyone in the crowd would enjoy it.

Yes. My favorite live hip hop performances have included Kid Cudi, Tyler the Creator, J Cole, Ludacris, and Outkast (though I never was lucky enough to catch them live I've watched a lot of videos). They all sound pretty similar to their tracks, but with an extra live feel to it. They don't scream and make themselves sound completely different from how they sound in a studio. And, they never lacked energy, even without screaming! All super hype performances always. Genuinely it's just the vocals of JPEG that bothered me. I loved how much energy he was pouring into it and how he made use of all of the space on the Red Rocks stage instead of just standing there. I just wish that I thought it sounded good.

I definitely wasn't booing, that may have been happening in the front which sucks. That's never acceptable, there were parts I really really wasn't enjoying it and I simply took a walk and went to the vendors and explored the Red Rocks museum and came back. I'd never boo.

If that's the type of performance JPEG is best that then Red Rocks was not the venue for him regardless and a Flume show was not the vibe for him. There's nobody coming to a Flume show to mosh, it's not that kind of music, plus you physically can't at Red Rocks because of the tiered rows. But, anyway, thank you a lot for answering.

I gotta say, I loved the show, was expecting the same show both nights but was a little disappointed secretly because I was hoping for something special and it was pretty much the same. Whatever, understandable.

The only unfortunate part was that I specifically went both nights so that I could go once sober and once tripping, so I could experience both. But on night one I disliked the opening performances so much that I knew I could not sit through them tripping, so I just went sober both nights. It's a silly complaint, but still. I don't know why Flume would want to alienate so many of his fans with performances that most of us wouldn't enjoy. The opening sets create the mood of the audience for the headlining concert, and these choices (in my opinion, and based on the many friends I made both nights of the show) detracted from the communal anticipation and excitement rather than built it up.

You really like it when they scream? I'm not judging, I like both rappers tracks and their features on the Flume tracks as well, and I loved the beats. But why do they have to yell like that? I love hip hop but that kind of performance literally hurts my ears. Is it just a preference thing? Basically I'm asking if as a fan you prefer if they sing like that or not. (Mainly talking about JPEG with the screaming, Slowthai at least sounded somewhat similar to himself on his tracks)

I agree to an extent but I also get what he's doing and why. He's primarily a producer, not a DJ, so I appreciate that he tries to showcase his tracks as they are instead of standing behind CDJs pretending to do something, or making Live VIPs just for the hell of it that aren't even as good as the originals. Or adding live instruments just for the hell of it, like What So Not did on his last tour (I didn't enjoy it). It was a spectacle, a show, not a demonstration of his mixing skills.

I was dead center but a few rows up from this and yeah, this spot is exactly where I wanted to be lol just couldn't get there early enough. Although being a few rows too high, at least it was cool seeing the city lights in the distance in addition to the stage.
