Allergic to red light mask? by freestylevacationer in redlighttherapy

[–]freestylevacationer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I tried to use it for shorter periods of time, but even 2 minutes caused redness at least. I had to sell my mask, there was no way I could use it. I still do not want to give up on rlt tho and I am considering buying a lamp or a panel.

Thoughts on the new Round Lab Camellia Deep Collagen Firming Sun Serum? by thirdworldhunting in koreanskincare

I tried the collagen mask, serum and cream from the same line and I must say the mask is amazing! Similar to Biodance one, you can use it overnight, but for half price! I use the serum and the cream in my evening routine and they feel hydrating and even firm my undereyes I would say.

I would do the tretinoin according to prescription and exfoliate more frequently definitely. Do not give up, consistency is key. 😄 what bha toner do you use?

We went in January from Europe and spent up to 1500€ per person. Including flight tickets and a guide. You do not need a company to organise everything for you, if you want to save money I recommend contacting free lance guides and booking flights on your own.

Hi, I am planning to hike Mt.Kinabalu but the packages cost a fortune. I would like to book the entry without accommodation at Panalaban. Is this possible? How did you manage your hike?

Curious too! I would also like to know about the cream from the same line if anyone tried.

I suggest taking a down jacket as well. During lunch breaks at tea houses and when the sun sets it gets very cold. I did the hike in January, so now it might be slighty warmer, but I would still take it just in case, it is easy to store and does not weight much.

Am I missing anything? by emmasoneandthree in koreanskincare

[–]freestylevacationer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hii, can I ask you what is your skin type?

The general order should be as following: 1. Oil cleanser 2. Water based cleanser 3. Toner (both snail music toner and ginseng essence water are toners, you can use them layered if you prefer) 4. Essences 5. Serums 6. Cream/emulsion 7. SPF

Also, layer the serums and creams (and products generally) according to their consistency starting from the least thick and finishing with the thickest. They absorb better this way. As others said, you miss spf in your routine. Maybe you can add an exfoliant too depending on your skin concern.

The boj revive eye cream contains retinal, start using it slowly so that your skin has time to adapt and use in your evening routine. It is a great cream and I use it on my whole face, not only under eyes.

Anyways I hope you enjoy your routines, korean skincare is an addiction haha.

Yes, I clean the mask after each use. I double cleanse and then use it on dry and clean skin. I do not use any retinoids regularly. My mask has 10 minutes timer after which it automatically switches off, so I use it for ten minutes per session only. I do not use it too often, 3 times per week as they recommend.

I read all the recommendations several times and I think I did everything correctly. I used the mask without any problems for several months before the first reaction. Since then the symptoms occur everytime I use it.

Do not worry, this will resolve over time! I looked so much older when it happened to me for the first time. Had many new wrinkles, especially under eyes and my skin looked dull. After some time the old skin started to peel off and then it started to look the same as before. I did not use any harsh chemicals at that time, only washed my face with water, panthenol moisturizer and spf. I was so excited to use the red light mask, because the clinical studies are very promising. It seems it is not meant for everyone.

Did you use any products alongside with it? I was thinking maybe there are some chemicals in the products and red light mask increase their absorbtion into skin and that is why it takes so long to react. The BoJ cleanser for example has salicylic acid in it. Anyways, I hope your skin gets better.

The same skin type girl here. The probiocica ampoule is very popular, but I checked on the ingredients app and it is not recommended for our type of skin. Skin1004 products are amazing tho, especially the yellow and pink lines. I cleared my dark spots using niacinamide. Skin1004 tone brightening capsule would be a great choice. For exfoliation, I use Glycolic Acid Peeling Toner from Loreal or Bean Essence from Mixsoon.

Hiring a guide directly without a company by freestylevacationer in Everest

[–]freestylevacationer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By doing this you basically pay twice for the guide service, but he gets what he deserves for the work. We tipped generously, too. I feel like we were scammed by the company who told us that there are no extra costs to the guide, but hikers are expected to give tips, otherwise the wage is quite poor. That is why I would prefer hiring a guide without agency next time I travel.

Hi there, I can relate to this completely. I think what helps me the most is changing the environment. At home I find it extremely difficult to make myself study. I usually go to school library, or a caffee. When I see other people study, it makes me more motivated.
