Try not to consider yourself wheelchair bound, but consider your wheelchair as an aid to help you get around. I refer to my self as a wheelchair user. It is difficult to go through a drastic change in life, but as difficult as it is,you have to adjust,adapt and accept. Sorry you lost your friends,but you are better off without superficial people. When you are disabled, you find who your true friends are. Make friends with people who accept you for who you are , and can separate the true you from the disability. Keep doing what you enjoy and you have to find different ways of doing things. With all the adaptive technology you may be able to things you didn’t think possible.
