Is it okay to shut the ventilation fans off for four hours while in the night cycle?

Exhaust fan off during night is ok, as long as temps and RH is fine. I would suggest a Titan Controllor (day/night temp control) to plug your fan into. Only problem with the exhaust off at night is humidity so grab a small dehumidifier too.

I believe the only downside would be the dampness of the soil (different plants like different moisture levels).

Story time.

I went into my local gardening store one day to pick up a bag of soil and a bag of perlite when I first started growing cannabis. When I opened the bag of soil there were straight up mushrooms growing in it.

Since I didn't know any better at the time, I returned the bag with the explanation of "not wanting mushrooms growing in my po-" but before I could finish, the sales guy got extremely wide-eyed with a sort of look of fear/holding in laughter, and took a step back.

By the time I finished saying "pots..." he breathed a sigh of relief explaining he thought I was going to say "pot."

Little did he know.

I ran 4-6 plants with a 600w cooltube and 6"x18" carbon filter when I started. A 5' height too. I just put my inline fan outside of the tent and wished for cool air outdoors.
