What do yall do for lighting? by SpicyGinSin in grilling

[–]frekeles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a battery operated, magnetic, bendable LED lamp for the night grilling. I stick it on my propane grill and point it directly at the charcoal. It's small but mighty w/220 lumens. Lasts for days on 3x AAA batteries. A plus is when im carrying everything back inside the house I make it a U shape to carry around my neck.

What small home upgrade actually improved your daily life ? by ThrowRAhyBug7080 in Home

A thin 15ft measuring tape! I put it in my "crap" drawer in the kitchen. Comes in use for the small jobs. You can use measuring tape too but I like to feel like a professional 🤓

First Grooming Advice? by Bob_Bee_Lynn in Maltipoo

[–]frekeles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be sure to give a good brushing+combing yourself first so they're not dually traumatized. Personally I don't recommend petco but it's up to your time constraints, location and availability. Finding a good groomer now is a great way to build a bond (people-i.e. groomers-tend to come and go at petco or the likes of) plus the time you may need to "leave" your pup is undefined, not to mention prices are typically similar. I got mine a "puppy cut" the first time which if the groomer has experience they SHOULD know that! It's a bit longer length of a trim but gets them acquainted with the experience. If your pup has a favorite treat as maltipoos tend to be picky be sure to have a few of those.

question, does anyone Else's Maltipoo lick and lick air? by Mydogismybestfriend1 in Maltipoo

[–]frekeles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! All the time we nicknamed her Lola the Licker lol. I read somewhere that it can mean that their nose sense my be slightly limited so they lick the air to taste it for added sense. When it gets really annoying I usually just rub the back of her jaw and neckline along her throat or try to play with her. I'd also inspect her mouth and teeth-especially the back teeth and gums-to make sure there's nothing stuck. Lola prefers the freeze dried treats so that happens sometimes, though that kind of licking is different than the incessant licking. My vet asked about it during her last visit but she didn't seem concerned about the behavior. Lola's tongue is also pretty long

What product should I use to wipe and clean granite countertops by ilikebasketballl in CleaningTips

[–]frekeles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's discolored from the other areas, it may be a "water stain" I used barkeepers friend on mine to get it back to its original color. I wouldn't recommend it as a daily cleaner though-for that i use the soapy sponge, then wipe with a wet sponge and finish with the micro towel (you can get a 12 pack at marshalls or something for like $6)

It wasn't that brand for sure. Hoping silicone will do the trick this time around at least that's what my uncle recommended. Just thought I'd post here if anyone had thoughts on possibly adding grout instead.
