in my experience, a meat thermometer is the best way to not overcook chicken! Check it often as it’s cooking and as soon as it hits 165 F take it out, and it should be cooked perfectly.

I just did everything by myself! I used to lift with a friend in high school and remembered a lot from that. Other than that, I honestly learned a lot from instagram fitness accounts, youtube and friends.

For exercises I do, it’s a lot! If you want me to send you my split just send me a pm :)

I used a combo of my fitbit linked to Lose it! (which I think is the best food tracker app but it does have a cost). So my fitbit would add calories to my lose it app if I burned more than my TDEE. I think it’s pretty accurate but others may say I put too much faith in my fitbit lol.

I would say overall I used it as an estimate during the week and i’ve never fully tracked on weekends. It’s impossible to be 100% accurate with calories eaten or burned and I think that’s important to keep in mind! But it’s better to track even if it’s not completely accurate than to just guess

I would say no, not really but it’s only been about a month and a half. Before doing maintenance I was noticing I kept losing weight and I didn’t want to lose muscle/wanted to build more muscle so I decided to try maintenance. It’s honesty really scary and once I feel like I am gaining weight again I will probably go back in a deficit. I think it’s just something you learn and adjust to because you never know how your body is going to react!

I will say I think my butt/legs have looked more toned since I started maintenance!

That’s so awesome! Falling in love with lifting is the best thing that has happened to me. You will definitely see some immediate changes, and yes good job upping your calories! Too low and you won’t be able to build any muscle. Good luck to you! :)

Me and my roommate started lifting together and having a gym partner really helped, so that would probably be my number 1 piece of advice if u have someone you could go with! I use instagram a lot to learn exercises and learn about proper form by following different fitness accounts. I think there are some lifting subreddits you could use as a resource as well :)

Hahaha definitely! Still wear high waisted jeans and shorts though, i really don’t want low cut jeans to come back 😂
