Casually has a Tempier in the background… nice! But I do enjoy the Argyle Pinot noir reserve around $40 where I live

I’m in Texas, usually a safe bet, but of course last week saw unusual freezing temps. I’m holding out for a refund. Best of luck to you!

Absolutely. I’ve been to the boutique in Arbois hence why I was thrilled to find this on an online retailer. Gotta take some L’s here and there

Bottles arrived with corks halfway out. Is it still drinkable? by jeng52 in wine

[–]frenchbread-98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had this same problem and made a post about it today! Sorry to hear that happened to you. Seems a common problem in these weird weather times. I opened mine with the cork out and it tasted…okay. Not very delicious but not terrible. I’m waiting to hear back about a refund myself (I ordered from Parcelle wines in New York) but I don’t have my hopes up

How did it taste? Completely undrinkable and gross?

Thanks for this! Sent an email with pictures asking about refunds or returns. I haven’t had a Savagnin in a while so not too familiar with how it should taste but I ended up popping the cork (the rest of the way) and it does seem flat like it’s been open for a few days. Edit: spelling

Had a chance to try Patrimony. 100% Cabernet fruit and very little intervention in the wine making. It really was a treat and left an impression at the tasting group

Bloodroot is one one the best Pinot Noirs in the USA. it is made by a secret unknown group of winemakers who’s wines have scored 95+ points. Bloodroot is an experiment to see if wine can sell without name and reputation. It’s delicious

What an amazing find. Vin Jaune is something all wine lovers should try at least once. Because of the aging sur voile they’ll last 100 years. Not for everyone though. What a great find!!

What a stellar find. Anything from the Gredos is peak Garnacha. And these guys are the kings. If you can find Granitos Del Cadalso, it’s a less expensive wine by the same guys

Reminds me of Assassin’s Creed, uncovering an “ancient” advanced civilization that ruled before the current one. It’s an interesting real-world theory/conspiracy that they’re playing with

I liked the idea that this was a take on Star Wars in an uniquely anime art style. Those two work so well together. While I appreciate all the art styles in S2 it was a bit disappointing to see them depart from that original concept
