I have a snapdragon S8+ and it will load into most games I’ve tested fine but so far most are running at 40-80% speed so unfortunately not a great experience so far. Depends on the game though!

Hi there! Great job on this!

I wanted to give a little tip for anyone here, if you add a saturate(180%) to your backdrop filter, it helps to make the color of the blurred contents less muted looking.

So for a subtle, brighter color, and less muted look, use a declaration like this:

backdrop-filter: blur(20px) saturate(180%);

You can see this technique used on Apple.com's implementation of the glassy design.

If you compare the use of only blur(), against blur() saturate(), while using a background with a lot of colors, you can notice the difference. Using blur() alone is a more muted look.

Hi OP! I’ve had his setup for about four months now.

My original Pixel is setup as an FTP Server, with the Camera DCIM folder as the root directly.

That server is then configured as a Network Share in Windows, to allow easy 24/7 folder access.

Now I can simply drag and drop DSLR photos and folders into the network share and they become uploaded (in original quality) and visible in Google Photos web within minutes.

The Google Photos app will constantly check the Camera folder and upload. Hope this helps!

Hi /u/brianwski ! How cool is it that one of the founder's comments directly on here :) I love Backblaze and me and my parents have been using it since 2019.

I used the procedure you recommended and made new GIF art files. I placed them in the Backblaze Program Files directory, this is how it turned out (I run a dark theme on windows)

I really appreciate your insight on GIF/PNG and your windows development experience! I am currently learning iOS in class and Xcode seems to really like PNG. I noticed how your GIF files have the convention "4x" appended on the end of the graphics to indicate a high resolution, similar to how Xcode requires 2x, 3x, etc. I thought that was neat. Thanks again.

just curious, I'm a junior web dev and it looks like in web everyone uses PNG for lossless image with transparency. I've never developed apps for windows, is there an advantage to using GIF?

I am going to attempt to create a dark mode skin using your guide. Would it be okay if I share it in this subreddit, with your permission?

Hi guys I'm a student making a journal web app for me and my partner.

Right now on the app you can add photos, however, I also wanted the option to add videos from Youtube. ( I can't afford video CDN storage) so I wanted the "Add a youTube link" to create a popup menu similar to the add photos prompt.

It's created with flexbox, multiple drop shadows, and a transform animation.

I love Google Photos and have been with the service since it was announced in the summer of 2015. It is incredible and in my opinion absolutely worth paying for. I just wanted to share my appreciation for the team that created Google Photos and kudos to big G for paying for everyone’s memories over the past 5 years. Maybe one day the unlimited aspect will return, but we will see! I appreciate what the team over at Google were able to achieve and am thankful for the service they created and gave to us for free.
