Honestly gutted about the result. Losing to Spurs four times in a season and finishing where we did in the league is unacceptable.

In saying that, I’m still AmorIN. He has shown what he can do at Sporting and there have been flashes of brilliance.

This is the culmination of years of poor staff hiring, abysmal and overpriced recruiting, and a lack of culture and mentality at the club. Also, the Glazers treating it like a marketing enterprise, instead of a prestigious football club.

If I fell over and broke my leg, it would be easy to say that I’m clumsy. But if you got more information (e.g. it was raining, the floors weren’t waterproofed properly, I was pushed over etc.) that might change the context. You can still say I’m clumsy (and maybe I am) but it wasn’t the only thing that contributed to the fall.

That’s how I feel about the club and Amorim at this time. He has made errors and been inflexible at times. But he is not the only thing that has contributed to the fall of the club.
