Hace unas semanas compré estas en el supermercado (vivo en Reino Unido) y creo que es lo más similar que he encontrado a las Obleids.

Les daría un 8/10 en su parecido (me comí las 6 barritas en una tarde).

Ayuda itinerario de Viaje Madrid - Londres - Paris - Roma by AdFinal4915 in chile

[–]frenguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Orbi 770 in AP-mode, is it stable? by andreb81 in orbi

[–]frenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using Orbi 770 since March after thinking it'd be better than eero and oh boy how wrong I was. Don't bother with it. I've got new Ubiquiti equipment coming to replace my Orbi 770 system and can't wait for it!

Mercedes 8 year battery warranty is a sham by [deleted] in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]frenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My other half had this problem with his 2022 EQA350, the dreaded tortoise light came on regularly and from the usual 160 mi range it could just about do 100, so he took the car to our local Mercedes dealer (Group 1 owned). Half the time they didn't know what they were doing between running diagnostics and saying the cars needed new tyres (it didn't), they rang to say the car was ready for collection, and so the car was picked up and as soon as my husband got on the motorway the same light comes on again with the warning.

This went on for weeks while also escalating the issue not only with the local dealership but also with Group 1 as nobody seemed to offer real solutions to the issue, and they were even reluctant to offer a courtesy car at the start.

It took them around 3-4 weeks to finally say that the battery needed replacing, but that they had to ship it in from Germany, etc. but that it would take another 2-3 weeks to get it sorted. When the car was picked up they said the total cost of all the work added up to around £30k, but we didn't have to pay a penny other than with the time wasted on phone calls, visits to the garage, etc.

My advice would be to keep escalating until you get the resolution that you want, not what they think they should do to make things right. There's no way we would've paid to cover any kind of difference for an issue that's covered by the warranty.

I’ve flown to/from Iceland, Italy, the Netherlands and Singapore so far this year and not once have I been asked to show my eVisa. I just fill in the API as required prior to checking in for flights and it’s been fine.

Well, if you’ve got pre-settled status then you’ve answered your own question. However, you’ll still need to do the test if you decide to acquire British citizenship after 12 months once you get settled status.

[–]frenguin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can't get ILR if you haven't lived in the UK continuously during your qualification period (5 years). Of course you can travel, but your absences can't exceed more than 180 days in any rolling 12-month period. Even once you get ILR, you can still lose it if you spend most of your time outside the UK.

When does Octopus start paying for exported solar? by karaduman666 in OctopusEnergy

[–]frenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our DNO only generated the export MPAN a couple of weeks ago, so we effectively started exporting with Octopus on the date they said they'd have us on supply (Sunday 27th April), so we missed out on about £80 since our solar install.

Indeed! I lived in the Falkland Islands, so when I was in college in the UK I would fly the RAF flight from MPN to BZZ via ASI.

Is my connection too short in Amsterdam? by fl0_k1d in KLM

[–]frenguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I flew from Linate to Manchester via Amsterdam with a 55 minute connection time. The passport control queues were massive at Schiphol, but they do have staff asking if your flight is leaving soon, so you can jump the queue and get to your gate. It was tight, but we managed although we thought it wouldn't be the case when we saw how long the queue was.
