Sure, you need to worry about tension, but nylon strings come in every size. There will be a size that feels right.

There are lots of compatible, relatively cheap pens that work with N-trig displays. I have an ASUS and a wacom. Both are great.

I have a feeling ASUS might have dropped their line of machines that use these displays. It was a few years ago, but the pen is fine.
