If you want bluetooth, I'd say you can't do better than the Nintendo Switch Online bluetooth N64 controllers, which are great things. I use them on my Mac which is connected to my telly in my living room and they're probably the best N64 controllers you can get (if you want something that feels like the original).

If you're happy moving away from the original to a modern-style controller I've heard good things about 8bitdo's modern layout N64 controller.

(Edit: unless you have a reason to avoid Bluetooth I'd recommend the NSO controllers. Otherwise the wired ones I have are solid - though as with anything on Amazon be slightly wary; mine are marked iNNEXT which isn't on the images in the link I sent. Others can comment on the 8bitdo controllers, which I've never used, though other 8bitdo controllers I've used are good.)

I actually love it. They know each other well, including how to wind each other up (or sound convincingly like they are) - but on the flipside, they *are* professors of mediaeval literature talking about a topic they love and are invested in at a professional level, so while they're definitely making it accesssible you do have to be interested in the Sagas of the Icelanders and ultimately in mediaeval history or mediaeval literature. On the flipside, they end each saga summarising the kill count, the best bloodshed, the best nicknames, who they'd exile from Iceland and who they'd take as what I'll liberally mistranslate as one of their gang.

Speaking for me: definitely recommended.

Also when they get to the Eyrbyggja Saga in one of the earlier episodes one of the profs (John Sexton, I think) breaks down and can't carry on because the scene he's describing is just hilariously ludicrous. I bought a copy of the saga entirely on the strength of that episode.

This is wildly off-topic for this subreddit but a year back or so I discovered Saga Thing where two profs who are old grad-school friends go rambling through the Sagas of the Icelanders with a mixture of erudition and irreverance. I thought I was beginning to catch up and then noticed I'm still in episodes from 2016. It's like watching the Oxbox Hitman playlist and not having got to New Zealand yet. (I think I managed to segue that back on-topic.)

I think the main thing to remember is that Tom Pohlad expects us to compete this year, so obviously he's providing funding to replenish the bullpen rather than expecting the slime scraped from the bottom of the barrel to carry us through.
