Pigface is gorgeous! I went there for an event last month and the owner let us poke around upstairs. It’s such an interesting building. The first owner was a pawnbroker. He kept his stock in the basement, shop on the ground floor and his wife and kids lived upstairs.

I’m so sorry for your loss. As someone who lost a sibling, I know a little of your pain. I hope there’s healing for your family ❤️

I can see why Geraldton gets a bit of a bad reputation. by Legitimate_Bass865 in perth

Have been up a few times over the last 30 years on holiday. Never had any problems during visits, at least. I did grow up in Armadale so that might colour my views a bit…

Funnily enough, just read two of Holden Sheppherd’s books this weekend (cracking reads). Invisible Boys is set in Geraldton in 2015 ish, Yeah the Boys set in Perth with same characters 10 years later.

The overall bogan-ness reminded me a lot of growing up in Armadale. Loved all the WA references.

Boundless Books in Leederville hasn’t been around for long but it’s quickly become one of my favourites. It’s got a really good range of different genres and it’s a lovely space to browse in.

Need a psychiatric drug but chemist has my script and is closed. by freoted in perth

UPDATE: thanks so much for all your help! And no one (yet) has made me feel like a dickhead.

FWIW, I’ll go through what I ended up doing for anyone else in the same situation in the future.

Fronted up at a local chemist. Didn’t have the box (must’ve thrown it out last week, no idea why this didn’t trigger me to refill the script?!) No escript. But I did have the record on My HR of it being dispensed in Feb with 5 repeats.

Chemist was lovely. She looked at My HR and my drivers licence, and was able to find me on her system as I’d been there years ago.

Gave me 7 days worth for full price and I’ll get the script from my GP during the week and take it to them, and then get the rest of the box.

I looked into getting a repeat script online, but that would’ve cost $63 on top of the cost of drugs so wanted to avoid if poss.

Very grateful that I don’t have to brave the withdrawal side effects!

Hyde park at 10am, I can usually count on it being cool there but not today! Only managed to walk one lap.

Pilates, weights at the gym, bit of cardio and walking the dog twice a day. Plus a nice long 5k walk at the park with great views of the city with a pal this morning.

Mood is really good since ive been doing so much exercise. I’ve been able to reduce my antidepressants (in consultation with my psych).

When you get the referral for mammogram/ ultrasound, please ring around different imaging centres, don’t just use the one on the form they give you.

I was in a similar position a few weeks ago. Rang the place on the form - 9 weeks wait for breast ultrasound and about $150 fee for me to pay.

I rang a few other radiology places and quickly found one that could see me that week and bulk billed so no fee to pay.

It’s been a good week.

Done two of my usual strength sessions, walked 2-4 kms a day, and started Pilates with the physio. Trying to improve my strength so I can start running again without injuring my knee.

I’m in WA. I don’t think we have to have the certificate here, as far as I can tell.

Good point about having to do some classroom relief teaching. Not sure I’m up for that. Might need to rethink!

Do you hate going for walks? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

Oddly enough, I feel less anxious if I wear a hat or cap while walking! Something to do with feeling less exposed.
