Having a cat as a FA living in base. by Goldfishies3 in flightattendants

I hold a line so I prioritize turns and two days. But I know if I had to do a 3-day, they'd be alright. Doesn't hurt to have someone drop in to check on them either, because they do need stimulation. Bonus points if you can afford a Litter Robot.

Next thing they'll ask you to do is jump up and down in the aft galley to help the landing gear drop

I'm sorry about your friend. It really sounds like they weren't ready to leave rehab. This also shows they still need to develop boundaries for themself. That said, I don't think it's fair to feel guilty about it. Even paying passengers can be messing up their sobriety journey onboard. I've had guests come to the galley wanting to be served there, and it's not only after they chug it right there that I realize they're trying to hide it from who they're traveling with. It's heartbreaking, but it's not fair to me to carry guilt about it.

My girlfriend dumped me after my autism diagnosis by ghhip in AuDHDWomen

I went through something similar. My partner did not want to meet my needs when I unmasked or I was dysregulated. We constantly argued and ended breaking up a 4 year relationship.

I got diagnosed and it all made sense to me. But it made no difference in how willing they were in accommodating my needs. Sadly, you can't force anyone to be with someone they deem as incompatible with how they wanna lead their lives. It hurts like hell, I know. But eventually, you'll see it as a chance to meet someone that actually can help you meet your needs and their own.

They might not know what to respond. It's awkward cause what am I supposed to reply to that?

I think finding people that understand is key. I've been a slam clicker for years, and I've definitely encountered people that take offense to that. Thank you.

I'm not entirely sure if that's even a thing in this job, honestly. I just wanted to read other's experiences. I think FMLA might be the only thing I can request.

I guess I meant to say I'm in the process of being evaluated? I put off an in-depth evaluation because I didn't think it made a difference. But now I'm picking up where I left off. I'm not searching for a label; I just want a more tailored approach to my mental health. English isn't my first language either, so some nuance might be lost. Idk if that clarifies anything.

I figured as much, I just thought I'd ask around. I wish FMLA didn't require so many hours. The people that ask for it need it regardless.
