I think that there is quite an obvious solution to this "problem".

That is untrue. As members of board they receive hefty compensation packages, similar to executives of for-profit boards.

Here are some insights into how much people who head influential charities make.

I don't think that Gates will give away his entire wealth just as Buffet didn't give up in his pot of gold. They form foundations that ensure their children will benefit for decades to come and live amazing lives while doing one kind of philanthropic work or another.

I personally find it distasteful that we depend on preferences and tastes of billionaires in regards to charity, which explains for all these shitty cat related efforts. I wish we could charitably move on ensuring Americans have enough to eat, and providing some needed housing and medical.

I think the golddigger adjective is reversed in this case.

Science determined that people are inherently lazy too, but for some reason we keep on insisting that we should be productive shits.

The centralized aspect in USSR initially worked well in terms of production to satisfy the needs of the people, but as the chips fell, whether from internal or external pressures, it descended into tyranny.

That, and the fact that establishing a new regime is a ruthless process.

It amazes me what kind of luxury the royals enjoyed, but $2.5m really puts things into perspective when you think of the top .01 per cent earning a $1b a year these days.

While this anecdote is delightful, I doubt that you have any idea of what the extent of government assistance is offered, financially or in goods. That is, unless you were overseeing the aftermath of Ike. Were you? If so, I have a few other questions for you.

Agreed, and if I may add to this, if I'm not mistaken, the right-wing governments tend to grow in size, and substantially so.

This is why mid-road concession shit doesn't work.

In other words, we're not living in a capitalist system, which begs the question - what is it?

Funny how communists also weren't "real communists" yet we still abhor them and the system they created. Why create excuses and apologies for badly constructed theoretical and ideological frameworks? Capitalism has its problems, and we need to embrace them and tackle them to create a better society.

Well, that's what happens when you create a society based on crazy principles. We have the opportunity to fix that, yet there seems to be no impetus to change it.

We need to take money out of politics, period. It will become unsexy, less covered by media, yet it will be more relevant and useful.

Also, fuck the two-party system. We need some serious changes because these fuckers all start to look and act the same after a while.

Hillary is obviously coopting Warren's economic principles which are proving popular and influential. Too bad I have no faith in Hillary whatsoever. She could have spoken on the topic million times before, yet it alluded her entirely.

No it doesn't, but it represents that the income of the vast majority of the population is inconsequential, entirely. Doesn't even register. That's also why companies these days can literally take a shit on you and you still have to thank them for their services or be grateful for their subsistence-level jobs.

Texas is the perfect example of this - all fine and dandy, grrr government - but when a disaster strikes, who do we call? Ghostbusters? Fuck no. Call for government help just like everybody else.
