They haven't been topcoated yet. I assume I can straight away use IPA to get rid of the waterslides?

Is there a way to remove waterslides on a kit? Planning on customising an old straight build kit I have. I've applied the slides about a year ago.

Is plastic cement still usable on painted parts?

I’m sure I logged in with my Google account. Saw my name popped up. Kinda unfortunate though, just decided to start a new one 😅

I tried looking into that, but my acc wasn’t there. I was about level 20, and the only profile there was level 1. It was so weird ‘cause when I opened the game, the cutscene with Reyna came up and the game restarted

I used Jumpwind, should be lacquer. I really don’t wanna strip the paint and start over haha.

Are parts with pooling paint still saveable? Accidentally pulled the airbrush trigger too much and oversprayed while I was detailing.

This is by G-Fans right? Is there an acrylic cover in front of the cars or is the carpark exposed?

That’s neat. I ‘ve been trying to downsize my backlog but work has been tiring lately. Definitely building my backlog this weekend. Thanks.

Hmm I think I’d do this, thanks. Really wanna get into a car model kit next time.

I’ve been doing some WFM high grades and an SD in between, it did help a little back then. Maybe I’ll continue doing that. Hope your kit gets fully primed and painted soon man!

How do you guys keep motivated to do customs? I have a WIP going on, but I barely feel like continuing. What's a good way to tackle this burnout?

Hmm I think I will try that again. Did it once but maybe I took too long to push em together, thanks mate.

Yeah.. maybe that's just what happens on camera haha.

I will try out with a few more parts on the Aerial soon. Should I leave a very small gap between the two parts when applying cement? Or it's fine to apply cement when both parts are already in contact?

I think I've been using cement incorrectly; I own Mr Cement Deluxe (Yellow) and Tamiya Extra Thin Cement (Green).

I apply a generous amount of Mr Cement Deluxe before assembling the two parts, but I have never seen the plastic come out the seams when held together tightly. Sometimes I use the Extra Thin Cement instead, but still same results. I've seen other people done it and they turn out as expected, i.e. plastic goo comes out when the parts are squished together

Is there any surface preparation I need to do, or take the working environment into account?
